I love these because even today in 2020, KZbin dont have much info how to do the little rolling kits or what material best for the top on classic beetles. Like even how does it hold up in rain? I heard horror stories about rain getting in the car. Thank you Chris Vallone for all these, personally i cant get new ragtop into my 63 bug because im out of work. Good news is i put new brake lines in the front, even the rubber ones that read 1997 lol. Diving around and loving my car ❤😃

@@youtoobe169 it's no big deal. It gets easily cleaned up afterwards, just a little WD-40 on a microfiber cloth and it wipes right off.

in the last seconds of this video you said the front part of the ragtop can also be adjusted then the video ended , how is it done ?

I used M10 Shoulder bolts, I think. Maybe M6. I Put the bolt on a drill and filed the head down to size. I have pics if interested.

How would I go about adjusting the front section if it doesn’t hug the roof of the bug?

I have my ragtop all done and on the bug BUT I am having a problem getting the latch to work. The latch moves freely when it is not engaging the strike plate on the frame but it will not latch Down the Roof when it goes into the strike hole. Any ideas?

The spline for my ragtop handle is stripped! Any ideas on how to fix it?

Inside the ragtop handle you mean? You might need to get a new handle.

@@classicvwbugs No, I have a new handle, the male spline coming out of the ragtop is stripped. Looks like previous owner lost the handle a d used a vice grip!

It should be obvious, there's only one way you can rotate the handle
