My favourite mysterious NPC is Ralo'shan the Eternal Watcher. She is the ghost eternally anchored to Staghelm Point in Silithus. Her dialogue seems to heavily imply Deathwing's destruction (in Vanilla!). Though I suspect she might actually be hinting at more unknown stuff as well. She disappeared during the end of Legion (alongside her tower collapsing), so she might finally be dead. It'd be cool if she returns unanchored.

You're right about the possible Hyjal raid. I was in the vanilla closed beta, and I remember at the end of it, devs did a few AMA style threads about the game. One of them said they planned for their "final" vanilla dungeons and raids to be Karazahn (dungeon/small raid, probably like UBRS amounts of players max) and Hyjal/Emerald Nightmare. We didn't get Emerald Nightmare until Legion, so that idea was definitely discarded. At the same time, you could wall jump/climb through some parts of Darkwhisper Gorge as late as TBC and Wrath to sneak into the Hyjal zone, which was cool as hell but also kinda creepy since it was empty. I realize my post here is like saying "my uncle works for Nintendo and he told me everything" but they were pretty smart about spilling the beans only then, when the frenzy around release was accompanied by an incoming beta testers' forum wipe. I remember it because I was hyped as hell when I read about that, and we did at least get Karazahn reworked into a TBC 10 man raid.
@moegdalswowvideos68004 жыл бұрын
@Todd Crabtree That's very cool to hear! I knew about Karazhan having read John Staat's "WoW Diary", but I didn't know they wanted a Hyjal raid to be released during Vanilla as well. In the book there's a picture of the Azeroth map with their "dungeon plans" from 2001 where Karazhan and the Dragon Isles are marked for example but not Hyjal. There is something called "The Dreaming" though which it says is accessed "via World Trees" so that might be it. It's just written out in the sea between the two continents.

Still no idea why for Classic Blizzard didn't just finish and include all of the content they'd planned originally for Vanilla in the first place. Bugs me to this day that there was so much stuff that was left out of the original game, the perfect opportunity came along for Blizzard to actually deliver the original World of Warcraft game they intended from the start and then they didn't do it. I do enjoy Classic but i feel it would have been so much more fun having all these little extra things to do and getting to see what Blizzards original vision actually looked like and doing all of these dozens of questlines that were left out originally.
@moegdalswowvideos68004 жыл бұрын
It would have been interesting for sure, but I'm glad we have the opportunity to play the game ~exactly~ as it was as well. I wouldn't like "Classic+" over Classic, and you never what the Blizzard of today might do to a game. That being said if they did Classic+ well and in addition to normal Classic perhaps, I think it could be quite awesome.
@Noobie2k74 жыл бұрын

He could be somehow related to Nagas in Azshara, as it is the only place in which you can find Nagas during the 45-55 level range, or perhaps to Nagas in Feralas. Azshara was supposed to be a leveling zone like most of them, but Blizzard scrapped it, and either moved or deleted majority of quests in Azshara. There also could've been some plans for Naga at the coastline of Tanaris, but they probably just decided against it for some reason. Maybe because Tanaris is 40-50 zone like Feralas, which also features Naga.

I put my two bits down on Earthcaller Franzahl being like a doomsayer for cataclysm. When did we get Mount Hyjal? Cata, but with fire. What if it was originally planned to be an invasion from Earth elementals instead. what if before it was under the vortex, The Earthen realm was tapped into by the roots of the Tree in Mount Hyjal.

That's a pretty damn cool theory. He does mention a minion of Therazane in the dialogue on Krixix which appears from a fissure in the earth. Therazane of course later appeared in Deepholm in Cataclysm so there are definitely some hints or whatever you want to call them.

@moegdalswowvideos68005 жыл бұрын
That's one of the dangers, yeah. I guess it's hard to keep old content relevant when you add new stuff. I don't think it's that bad in Vanilla, though, compared to what I've heard about retail. In Classic, you will almost always have a reason to run the first raids such as MC and Ony even when BWL, AQ and Naxx have been released. There's much more content than raids I realize, so it's just one aspect of the game.
@wartem5 жыл бұрын
@@moegdalswowvideos6800 That's true. The "expansions" are doing most of the harm. Resetting progress and gear. Making old content pointless and eventually removing it. How is that an expansion? Compare this to how other games are handling it successfully like GW2 and EOS. It would be awesome if you considered making a video about it. Great video btw.
@moegdalswowvideos68005 жыл бұрын
