Classic WoW Phase 6 - Retribution Paladin PvP BiS Gear

what do you think about Boots of Unwavering Will? It's got a shitton of armor and stam, and you could use Annihilation Gauntlet for the hit. I'd get 50 more HP from this combination than from the Steadfast + Chromatic combination

trading away 12 agi and 8 strength and 1% hit for 10 stamina and a little more armor and 5 defence is not worth imo

It's gnarly with that much STR, but the lack of intellect is notable and not to mention the mp5 that goes a long way. Personally, the thicc obsidian plate is not necessary - better to have resist sets for Fire, Frost, and shadow ready and keybound - better to just resist all. Spot on for rings, belt. You cannot afford to not go 3 piece when you're already commited with 2 piece. 10 second off HoJ is a game changer. Agreed on Burrower's Shell, It is bis.

Some of this stuff I agree with due to the changes on Classic vs Era like thick obsidian is nerfed and not as powerful anymore, however specifically for Ret/Reckoning, I'm still inclined to lean more towards offense over int and MP5. I also rocked resist sets for duels and world pvp thick obsidian was really nice for battlegrounds where you dont get much downtime to swap suits for specific matchups.

Isnt stronghold gauntlets + crusader better than steel weapon Chain? Also easier to switch against non warrior so you can get more Benefit against other classes.

I'm not a fan because I think the gloves + helm combo from rank 13 is perfect stat wise, but if you dont have rank gear then yes stronghold + crusader is very viable

Do you know if eye for an eye scales with spell damage? I know it scales with sanctity aura and spell crit. Ive read that it has 100% spell coefficient

I'm not 100% sure, I believe it didn't on Classic but i'm sure about on Era?

@@miguelanessoares7039 It depennds on if you have a good sword and board and are comfortable swapping or not. I usually am a fan of weapon swapping but i also am comfortable aura swapping so idk i like both just really depends on matchup

fortitude is better for 1v1s but might is better for BGs and WPvP

Really good setup, but I would take Ring of Quiraji Fury instead of the Bronze Dragonflight Ring, and if you dont have ranking gear, probably go Annihilation gloves or Rightous Champion gloves. I would also go dominion cloak or c'thun cloak instead of scourge cloak. What do you think of going down a completely different road and just go full avenger with righteous champion gloves? You lose a very small amount of AP, about 500hp and the obsidian breastplate proc, but you gain 900 mana, about 140 spellpower and 3.3% crit. and some spellcrit.

I have that set my self full t2.5 with the hands as well but im deep ret love rep for more cc and the damage is crazy with it but does suck when RNG doea not want to work but do ez 1k+ crits with melee and judgements

​@СЛАВА РУСИ My opinions: Grand Crusader shoulders are awesome! The legs are probably better than Carnage for long fights but worse for short. Girdle of the Mentor is definitely better than the GC belt! I would advise against 30 spellpower on MoM, and do Chain or Crusader instead. I have an easier time going 1h+shield vs warriors as well in those specs. Cheers!

@@PeacebladeTV yea getting a 1h and throwing sp on that is better. At least you'll have a shield during a disarm. Definitely can go lax on the weapon chain of you are shockadin, but that's for a different video lol.
