Thank you! I'm an avid reader and can absorb theory and philosophy and artistic expression in books for days. BUT give me a science experiment and my brain freaks out. I need to see it. Thank you for demonstrating these experiments so clearly!

Thank you so much for these videos! I learn so much every week. What is your background? You are about ten levels above my basic science education. 😊

susan yepez Thanks for the kind words! Micah is an Analytical Chemist who received his PhD in Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis many moons ago. He now moonlights as a homeschool dad saving my sanity and our kids education. 😂❤️

Would it be best to use a smooth surface for the inclined plane? The folding tables we have available at our facility have a little bit of a textured surface.
@lizwilcox304 жыл бұрын
Sarah Kotronis that’s a good question. Since the surface is the same for all the items it should not influence the results. But this one is a little tricky so I’d test it out.

Thanks for the video demonstration. I'm admiring your laminated maps on the wall. Where did you get those? I'm looking for colorful, clear, weekly maps that I can laminate to reuse each year. Thanks!

Holly Roe Those are part of the Bible Curriculum that we use in our home and at church. It’s called Shaping Hearts for God. You can also find them through Bible Maps as an app. They are super maps! I did laminate them myself though. They don’t come that way.

This may be a very dumb question, but how can the center of mass of the two lids be the air in the middle of the lids where there is no mass at all, it’s just air. I’m confused.
@lizwilcox304 жыл бұрын
Shawnna Pratt it isn’t a dumb question at all! No question is dumb. The center of mass is an abstract concept. It is effectively the single point in space, not necessarily the single point within the object, which represents the mean position (distribution) of the mass of the object.

Should we be saying center of mass or center of gravity. I'm attempting to watch youtube videos to find out the difference and...uhhhh...lol
@lizwilcox305 жыл бұрын
Rachelle Crain - I recommend the term “center of mass” however, the difference between the two terms is fairly technical and may not add much value to your class. Whether you want to use “center of gravity” or “center of mass” I would suggest choosing one and using it consistently.
