Hi! For the ATS sheet we have a printout that I added to a page protector and put it in the binder. I also have the trivium table for that as well that work on. For spelling, we use a different curriculum and for editing we are using Fix-it grammar.

This is our first year with CC. So glad I watched this. I would be lost without it. Are the flashcards necessary? Where can I buy the memory work flip book?

The flashcards are in the back of the IEW student book. You don’t have to pull them apart but it is nice for my child to flip through. The flip book I found on cc connected. Just type in flip book under the forum tab and it will pop right up!

Question - why did you separate the weekly answers, from The weekly work? Could you put the answer key in with the weekly work and just use the tabs provided by CC?

Hi there! Good question…I wish I could have them all together but there are times when a week ends and on the back of the page a new week starts. I didn’t want the start of a new week to be under the previous weeks tab. Does that make sense?

My child is not a strong speller but will be starting essentials. I know they will be doing lots of writing and using EIW...will she be struggling because spelling isn't her best?

Your child could easily narrate the paper to you while you write it. I’d say work at your child’s pace and you will be fine.

It is highly encouraged to attend the IEW Pudewa viewing. Mr. Pudewa is very helpful in guiding and leading teachers on how to teach out kids the information. This year one thing that stood out was when he said something about not worrying about spelling. They will learn that with their spelling class. This is writing and learning structure and style. Hope that helps! It helped me🙂
