I really loved this song, even more than usual. Really creepy, but in a beautiful and hypnotic way. I really love the melodic piano at the beginning, and about halfway through when it got really low and it sounded like each not was accompanied by its sharpcounterpart nearly made me crap my pants for multiple reasons. btw, last time I checked, your channel page says something about working on a soundtrack for a ghost movie. The girl was extremely perceptive, and was well on her way to becoming a great magician herself. "Yes," she said quietly. "Then... Why hasn't anyone ever heard of you?" "I... prefer to stay hidden." "Why?" "It's just... better for everyone that way." She turned away, feeling the little girl's eyes boring into her own. She didn't like to speak much. She didn't like to get close to anyone. She... shouldn't. The girl looked at the lady's timeless, ageless face. It was the picture of youthful beauty, yet held millions of years of wisdom and sorrow. The girl had known her for a while now, and yet it felt like she knew nothing about her. It was time to stop beating around the bush. Time to let the lady know she knew more. "You... you aren't from our time, are you?" Her voice was gentle. Not forcing an answer. And yet, the lady, after a moment's hesitation, responded. "No." The girl's eyes pierced her own again, and the girl saw them flash with a million suppressed emotions. Longing. Sorrow. Loneliness. Weariness - as if she'd seen something that no one was meant to see. "Then...?" "I was created by magic at the beginning of Time. Yours isn't the first universe to exist." The lady wasn't sure why she was saying any of this to a child. "In the beginning, I was like any other girl. I had a sister, just like me. I loved her. I interacted with the humans around me. But soon they died, and I didn't know why I or my sister never did. Until I realised... We're immortal." The lady paused, sighing. She thought of the humans who foolishly craved eternal life. If only they knew the pain it would bring... "My sister was still ambitious, and married many men. Over and over. Each time hoping the family would last. But she chose to ignore the truth of our nature." The girl could see tears forming in her eyes now. "We were created by magic. We are an embodiment of magic that the human brain cannot hope to comprehend. As a result, if my sister was away from her family even for a month's time... They would forget that she ever existed. "Forsaken by everyone she loved, my sister fell prey to darkness." Her voice wobbled. "She blamed the world, and was demented with the desire to destroy it. Even now... she walks this universe somewhere, a shell of who she used to be, now a wielder of the Dark Arts." She was silent. She saw the little girl's eyes stretched wide with an unnamed emotion. "That's all." Yes, that was all. That was why she couldn't get close to anyone. They'd forget her too soon. Even if they didn't, they'd die too soon, anyway. And she was terrified of becoming the demon her sister had become. It was so simple. If she stopped feeling emotions, none of it would bother her. And now, after a hundred universes have been brutally destroyed and reincarnated, none of it bothers her. None of it bothers her. All she must do... is find her sister and rid the world of her evil. She must kill her own sister. And yet, none of it bothers her. The girl reaches out a hand and wipes away a tear rolling down the lady's cheek. "I'll help you," she says. "I'll be your friend. You won't have to be alone anymore." The lady looks at the little girl. She's heard the same words from so many people in the past. Hopes. Promises. Offers for help. All empty. Pointless. Because they are all human. They love, and they forget. They are born, and they die.
