Nick explained the beginning rap section PERFECTLY it’s like he took the words right out of my mouth. That rap section is so amazing because it’s rhythmic, jooheon and changkyun still show of their speed and flow but it’s done in a way that is meant to be in the song, it didn’t just sound like it was just placed there like a lot of other songs. Not being biased since they’re my favs lol but that’s something i don’t see too often but i really love.

That is totally why I like Monsta X's rap verses! They never *clash*. Baro from B1A4 has the same knack, and J-Seph from KARD imo. I love it when a rapper can be versatile and elevate rather than interrupting the song 8)

It's interesting how some people focus in the element of "surprise" in a song, like how some say that they gave the best part in the begining, so when the chorus came, it seemed "boring". But I'm really happy to see how the chorus is still appreciated by others, I also enjoyed very much the contrast that's present in the melody, because It matches really well with the lyrics and how heartbreak feels and developes into different stages or moods (like anger, sadness, aceptance, etc) so in that sense, I think the message is well delivered

I love this video so much because you get to see these musicians don't have any judgment like "ugh it's another k-pop group" or "I can't understand Korean so why watch." They watch it purely from a musical point of view which comes to show that music is its own language and it doesn't matter what language you speak or where you come from, we all connect through music. I think the word 'refreshing' really describes Monsta X perfectly for me.
