Great performance. Some intonation problems with that middle d of yours and the eb. Overall a great feel to the piece.

Dear Josh, thank you for your question. In the video, I used YAS-875G/V1GP Neck/S90-170 mouthpiece/Ishimori Woodstone Silver Ligature/D'addario Reserve 3.5. However, I currently use S90-180/Ishimori GP Ligature/D'addario Reserve 3.0+.

Students could learn a lot about good technique just from watching you play. A few mundane questions... What edition/publisher of this piece do you have? That's an S 90 mouthpiece, no? What opening? Looks like an Ishimori lig. I see a lot of people playing them these days. What made you choose it?

Thank you for your comment. For this performance, I used the edition by Ted Hegvik. Yes, I use S90-170 (most closed tip opening). I find this mouthpiece to be the most flexible and works well with Yamaha custom saxophones. For the ligature, I am using the ishimori woodstone silver. It gives me consistency throughout different ranges and has a good balance of resonance. Also, it doesn't break! (I used to use Harrison ligatures and they broke every 3months....)
