I've never found a god that meets any epistemological standard. In fact it seems a low bar as far an examples go. However there are certainly highly intellectual people that have absolutely no doubt of a god. I honestly find it appalling someone can become a doctor or lawyer and not be able to shake cultural customs. Nor would they acknowledge their belief is based on such customs but imagine their autonomous review of the matter has independently lead them to their conclusions. I'm sure we all have those cognitive biases to an extent. It just seems to me if you allow magic or the supernatural as an answer it's easy to taint any query with and answer that obtuse, arbitrary and capricious. Ive always thought children should be taught epistemology before much higher thinking. Seems like it would be hard to bring all the fallacies down to their level and have enough exercises to relly burn it in their brains. I fear the current trend of antiintellectualism. When the powers that be do everything they can to bastardize science, we are all lost.
