Nice way to finish the underside. In the 80’s, I work at a Datsun dealer, and we undercoated them all. Not as nice as a Bedliner product. I love that this isn’t being done to hide rust.

2:58 More protection/sound deadening. Would this have the same effect as Lizard Skin?
@ClassicCarStudio Жыл бұрын
It does help with heat and sound, but we mainly use it for durability. We use Sound Skins or Dynamat on the interior mainly for this. Tried Lizard Skin a few times, it’s great for areas you can’t easily reach.

charging a client to colorsand anything beyond 2000 is stealing from them... on top of that they are colorsanding with a foam block, that doesn't truly cut orange peel. I always colorsanded with a hard block and 800 then 1000 then 1200 then switched to a foam block with 1500 then 2000. ANY polishing pad you use is going to make some sort of scratches that are more pronounced than 2000 grit paper...

@@warrenlewis3977 do you know how to read? please point out in my comment where I am, as you put it "claiming that an Interface pad doesn't work". I'll wait.

We colorsand with an acrylic block (not a foam block) up to 1500, then an acrylic block with a hard foam back. It's the 2000 there that you see that is done with a hard foam block, and this is not used to eliminate orange peel, it's to remove previous sand scratches. The 3000 on the DA accounts for under an hour on an entire car, and it does make a difference in further eliminating sanding scratches.
