The most common truck gun is a 12 gauge shotgun or just a regular rifle. For the price of most of what you showed I could put both a rifle and shotgun in my vehicle and have a firearm for any possible situation instead of being so limited by a pcc or sbr. Also, most states don't allow anything other than a normal pistol to be carried in the passenger area of a vehicle and a number of states still require a conceal carry permit to even have that pistol within reach of the (licensed) occupants. So legally your truck gun 99% of the time would be in the trunk or at least not directly accessible while driving so the short barrel length for "maneuverability" is really never an issue. Most of the guns you show I would say are better hotel room guns than truck guns. Just my thoughts.

So I know that some of you will laugh out loud. But I keep a pistol and a rifle in my truck. Both HiPoints. I have a cargo tub under my back seat that has the 995 carbine and 4 extra 10 round mags, as well as one Hiball mag. This rifle operates flawlessly, and shoots great. It's companion is a C9 in my door pocket. It has an extended 10 round mag in the grip and the holster has 2 factory 8 round mags. I also have a mag pouch with 3 more 8 round mags. And the pistol will except the rifle mags. So I have 115 rounds of 9mm. I can reload the rifle mags if needed using the pistol mags, or use the rifle mags in the pistol. And, both firearms cost me around $400.00 total, not counting the extra mags. 9mm is relatively inexpensive. So there you are. When I travel, I have an M-9 that is attached to my center console using an IWB holster, and my AR 16in M-4. Both are accompanied with about a thousand rounds.

I love my CMMG Banchee in 9mm. I carry a G19. All mags are shared. The most common round, I could find on the ground. Glock because it’s the most common, where I also might be able to find and take mags I find. My small brain……

6.5 grendel/6mm arc in a 12.5 in barrel is my go to.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the LWRC SMG-45, that with a silencer would be a great option

So, I keep a 300bo with side folding LAW adapter on it in my vehicle (8.5") WITH a 11.5" 5.56 upper also in the vehicle, in case that is going to be the better option. Because why would I just keep a flathead on me when I can have a flathead AND a phillips? In short, no reason not to have an upper chambered in one or the other riding spare, along with ammo for it (in easily identifiable mags) so that you can easily adapt to whatever situation you find yourself in . . . do I sound crazy?

Love the 300 pistol I have. So much more friendly in closed spaced. Need a hush hush can though.

300Blkt, 5.7, man I really don’t need more calibers! But you make it sound reasonable!

I love how I came here bc I wanted a rifle to keep in my car since I’m not 21 and can’t have a pistol. Then he continues to list all but one gun that classifies as a pistol

I rarely comment, but have been watching for 2yrs (& bought a lot since), but I liked when you [Clint] whipped out the MP5, & immediately showed a more modern gun. Props Clint! I love some Classic Firearms merch!

I live out in the country in NC, I’ve always got my sidearm on me and keep a PS90 with 3 magazines in my truck. Total of 184 rounds on me is ideal for a shtf scenario and get me back to the house. 😂

A test you need to do is the best barrel length for shooting inside a vehicle include a pistol and maybe some different ARs not every vehicle is the same and some don’t have as much space so pulling that 10.5” out might be harder that a 7.5”

300 blk is absolutely the way to go in cqb. I run a 5" barrel as well. hard hitter!!!

I really love the Rattler design and look. Wish there was a range near me that rents one so that I can get a feel for it. Shotgun and a shorty in .300 Blackout are next on my list. Or a Henry with a matching caliber revolver. I’ve got a problem 😂.

I have a 8.5" .458 Socom from Tromix and I couldn't agree more! Absolute beast of a firearm.

Agree with everything said... I've considered adding a 300BO to the mix for years, but the added expense in another caliber plus kit makes it a no go for me.

I agree with the 300 blkout, how ever I think a bullpup rifle (Tavor x95) would achieve everything you spoke about with the advantages of a 16" barrel.

I can’t be the only one who was thinking more of a “grandpappis 12 gauge, semi auto 22” truck gun vid, great none the less
