1974 Chevy Short Van 20 Junkyard Find

1974 Chevy Short Van 20 Junkyard Find. This was probably the coolest old van I've ran across in the junkyard. This shorty Chevy Van had it all, including the shag carpet, really cool vintage small items like a Hull compass from the 1950s and neat pin back buttons, to cool wheels. This thing was like a time capsule of sorts and it didn't disappoint. It definitely had some character to it.

Just picked up a nice 1975 G20. Posted on my channel. Tons of potential and also has the in line 6, but mine is the Big Block 292. Thanks for the walk around! There's one nearly the same specs at my local bone yard. I should do a walk around that one. It was truly a Nomad's van with a wood stove, A/C in the back window and it's got the iconic heart shaped acrylic bubble windows mounted on the sides. Complete throw back to the day when the Van Life was cool. Mine is the long wheel base, which I actually love. Tons of storage space. Cheers CRS!! Zip~

This van's has character in spades... I had a '70 Ford that had a similar setup w/the carpeting, faux wood paneling, & one-off stickers. That was when I had more disposable income than space or common sense...good times :) Hmm, maybe I should've bought a share of a junkyard - I mean "automotive recycling center", lol!

It's sad that amazing van got crushed, it's awesome how it had all those knick knacks and what not, I bet whoever had that van absolutely loved that thing..I just don't get how this was scrapped. It seems like it had so much soul

It's funny how a chevy HHR is parked next to it! I loved the paint jobs they had on Van's in the 70s! If I could get classic ins. On a van I would own 1!!

Those are mid to late 1980's Olds Cutlass reclining bucket seats that have the large chrome trim on the sides. I would have absolutely grabbed those since they fetch pretty decent money these days.

If you return to that yard and find that Metal wire connector box you seen in the back of that gray van I would pay you for it. They don't make wire connector boxes in metal anymore.

Everything in the yard at that time is long gone now. Its all been crushed. That yard doesn't hold onto anything for more than a few months

The tilt column and the steering wheel definitely were not original. They must've come off of a '78 to '82 Chevy Van.
