Ofcourse the anime isn't as satisfying as the light novel but by watching one can grasp tue content of the first three volumes of the light novels which will help in deciding whether to read it or not. Since even I was bored when I read the first and second volume of COTE. Even the third volume wasn't much good. The real fun started from the fourth volume.
