I'm glad some people realised Sakayanagi was trying to teach Ayanakoji it was ok to be close with people and have emotions. A lot just assumed she has a crush on him. I won't say if she does or not to avoid spoilers, but that wasn't what she was trying to convey in that scene.

In the Light Novel, it is stated that multiple AI supercomputers and 20+ Chess grandmasters worked together to alter Ayanokoji's last move. (I forgot the whole content, it's somewhere around Y1 V11-V11.5)

Bro they did him dirty in the anime adaptation, the game was mid at best, I'm only at 1400 elo and I was like "why the fuck are they gasping for those moves ?"

​@@dokkino7105 I don't think they could possibly show a game that surpasses real gms or stockfish here. That said, I didn't read the novel, did the novel perhaps have a detailed chess match in his scene? If so, then they really didn't do the anime justice

@@taito404 In the LN it wasn't that detailed, but you could pretty much guess how the party turns out since you have a state of the board let's say each 4 to 5 move in the endgame and god it was beautiful to read as a chess player (maybe not 2500 Elo as stated but you could believe it was a 2000 elo play easy, the author know his stuff)
