We start the first week of August. This is my first-year teaching. I’m a little bit stressed because I haven’t heard much of anything about the students I’m getting, how to work there systems, and when is open house. When does your school give you that information?

Sometimes, you will receive your class roster a couple of days before school begins. When it comes to open house, some begin a week after school begins or it can take two or three weeks. I begin my 31st year of teaching in August, and I want to wish you the best. Find strength in what goes well each day and try not to be so hard on yourself when things do not work out so well. It takes about three years to get used to the profession. Take care.

Does your school give you a copy limit? My new one does (I've always had unlimited, until this year!), so I think I may have to make copies at Staples, as well :(

They haven’t told us necessarily but everything that we want in colored ink, we have to email to the front office and have them print for us so it isn’t the most convenient
