I been crocheting for over 20-something years. I was on Facebook marketplace negotiating baskets for my flowers. Then I ran into this video and it never hit me to crochet one! LOL. I love this pattern! Going to be making this for my flowers in my kitchen. Thank you!

This was my first basket. It is a struggle working with such a rigid cord, but it worked out. It took me about 4 hours total, maybe a little less. It is smaller than i expected, so i bought 2 more of the cord to make a bigger basket. This tutorial is very well done. You didn't miss a detail and walked me through my project every step of the way. This was a great confidence booster for a new crocheter. Thank!!

Thank you! I was wondering how many I would need to make a bigger basket! 😁
@lindasimpson98725 ай бұрын
@@Sunny-jz3dy Remember this one is tiny....I'd guess 4" x 4" or maybe a tiny bit larger. It doesn't take a lot 🙂

You can also use 5-7 strands of any yarns. Might be easier after you get used to it. Putting each ball in a gift basket can help keep it untangled.

Love the tutorial. Made one exactly like the video and made another one rectangle. So so cute. Both were gifts. TY Claudetta ❤😊 Love the YarnArt spectrum yarn too. Fantastic colors.

This is a great tutorial! I just want to add that I used the red heart black 5mm yarn I had to do 2 sets of single crochet in the back loop to get my bend. It all depends on the texture/size/density of the yarn. Thank you so much for the tutorial very helpful!
@Chelle2012 жыл бұрын
Do you mean at the end of the row to go back the other way, you do 2 sets in the back loop? Thanks so much!
@audrey_alane2 жыл бұрын
@@Chelle201 well in her tutorial for the back loop she only does one single crochet “row” all the way around. I did that but then I did a single crochet row all the way around for a 2nd time

It's great to know it works out fine with yarn.

Thank you, I’m using Red Heart too but in Paddy Green. Dunno what thickness though but I think it’s 5mm. Im using a 5.75mm hook. I dunno how it’ll turn out because I haven’t start yet but I hope that it works.

Do I single crochet around the whole squat then start going into the back loops?

Fantastic. The magic circle and increasing intimidates me. This is perfect!

I saw a basket pattern starting with a magic ring when I was searching for a pattern that adds binding wire to it yesterday. Though I eventually mastered the magic ring after weeks of struggle with it at the start of my crochet journey, I still prefer this pattern. It's just so easy and comfortable to work with.

DO YOU HAVE ANY EXAMPLES OF BASKETS MADE WITH OTHER COLORS? IT IS HARD TO IDENTIFY THE COLOW BREAKOUT FROM JUST THE PHOTOS OF THE SKEINS ON END. 3. WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR LEATHER LABELS? 4. IS THERE AOTHER BRAND OF VARIEGATED YARN OF THIS TYPE WITH PERHAPS GREY- TIFFANY BLUE COLOR ROATION- JUST THE BRAND WOULD DO. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE LOVELY TUTORIAL- THANKS,NANCY
