been using this mic for 3 years solid, all of my songs were made using bm800, for starters, i recommend skipping the v8 soundcard hype, pair the mic instead with audio interface.

Claudette, please don't speak into the microphone from the top because the BM-800 is not an end-addressed microphone. speak into the side of it and make sure its the right side where the logo is at the front.

@@AngaSavi no, you can't record with the phone but only with a laptop as it only uses a Sound Card unlike other USB microphones, but you can record songs with it I urge you to buy the USB microphone from Maono or Fifine because they're much better and easy to use. I regretted buying this one because I later sold it and got a USB FIFINE Microphone.
