Just now sadly saw that Claus has died on April 23 after a brief illness at the age of 75.. These beautiful videos will be a part of his extensive and so well regarded legacy..

We as musicians are so lucky for being recorded , more importantly recorded very well , great playing by all , we can never forget the greats back then who gave the world this wonderful music called Jazz or Jas , its being called a few things including the devils music , if that the case i sold my soul to the devil long ago 😂

Fantastic recreation of some of the best early jazz ever penned. Henderson was the 'real deal'. These guys obviously get the same thrill from ensemble playing that Henderson's guys did. Magnificent recreation of a golden era.

There are also many of the less old Fletcher Henderson tunes I like, e.g. «Jangled Nerves» - it was a slightly different style. I’m sort of eclectic, there could be named lots of other 30s FH tracks.

I'm really enjoying this concert. Tomasso sounds like Bix at his best.The trombone player doing gut bucket sounds like Kid Ory.

Wrong. Check out the Whitley bay performance by Keith Nichols and Josh Duffee in 2016 entitled: "The Stampede - The Duffee-Nichols International Jazz Orchestra - Whitley Bay 2016". This is the good tempo for the tune.
