@@ClausGahrn , ...well, ...i have just recently bought, a moog sound studio 3, ...and, i have not yet begun to pull the trigger, on learning anything about all of it, ...I am merely, ...just a small, insignificant, ...guitar player, ...i have no experience at all, with any kind, of this eurorack stuff, ...and, i have the impression that this is actually, ...one huge, big-assed, can of worms to open... ...but, ...since you have such great, and inspirational videos, like this one, ...i already know, ...that in order for me to break on through to the other side, ...and open this huge can, of euro rack worms, ...with this moog system, ...that there is actually, no reason at all to be afraid, ...because, ...with videos like this, it can certainly help everyone out there, that are just like me, ...to finally bridge that mysteriously, elusive gap between what we are all comfortable with, in our (small) "guitar" world... ...and, ...be able TO, ...more EASILY, ...move on OVER, ...to the other SIDE, ...of this GLORIOUS, ...euro rack PATCHING, ...MADNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...so, ...thank you for putting all of these videos out there, like this one, ...and, I hope that you keep them on-a-coming, ...my brother!!! ...OHHH, ...YEAAHH!!! ......THE REAL...... ......ORIGINAL...... !!!!!!HECHLER!!!!!! .........( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)......... ........YESSSSSS!!! -------------------------------- -------------------------------- --------------------------------

It’s wonderful. I have your Orion patch on the Mother32 with Big Sky shimmering now. A lot to learn.

Thank you! Would love to hear the Orion patch with Big Sky, I have only tried various software reverbs myself.

Amazing! How did you make the generative sequence in Ableton? Do you insert a Random device on the MIDI track or something?
@ClausGahrn Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I used the MDD Snake sequencer in Ableton.
@sabinbadea94 Жыл бұрын
Very nice music! Sounds amazing! Can I ask you how you do to randomize the steps in ableton? Also, what do you mean by “the midi velocity is controlling the cutoff?” Thanks in advance for your time 😊
@ClausGahrn Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I use the MDD SnAkE in Ableton. It can do random playback direction. Ableton sends out velocity via MIDI as well. Using the Assign output on the Mother-32, it can control the filter cutoff.
@Tubomatic30002 жыл бұрын
Love it, subscribed! Have not tried yet but I will for sure. But I'm not using any midi in. do you think I can randomize just with KB+STEP+4?
@ClausGahrn2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much. :) Yes, it will work with the random playback direction as well. In fact, I did that in some of my previous Mother-32 videos - Orion, Achernar, and Blueshift.

@@ClausGahrn good to know, I'll check them. Thanks for sharing!
@C90Recordings2 жыл бұрын
Beautiful work. I've tried to replicate but I can't get the randomizing aspect to work.
@78thandSynth2 жыл бұрын
Apparently the prior firmware for mother did not have the random function. If you bought before it came in them you might have to do the update. Brave new world only three months into this life.
@ClausGahrn2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! In this patch the randomness comes from the sequencer in Ableton and not from the Mother-32. What kind of sequencer are you using?
@C90Recordings2 жыл бұрын
@@ClausGahrn That explains a lot. I was just sending an 16 note pattern from Ableton into the Mother32, without any randomization in Live. Thanks for clearing that up.
@C90Recordings2 жыл бұрын
@@78thandSynth I'll have to check that. Thanks.

Is mother capable of producing more conventional leads and basses? Sounds amazing by the way!
@ClausGahrn2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, the Mother-32 is very capable of producing more conventional type of sounds. I have used it for plucky leads as well as bass sequences.

How do you manage to patch LFO Tri to both Mix CV and VCF Res? You've already used the Multi to send Assign to both VCF Cutoff and LFO Rate.
@ClausGahrn2 жыл бұрын
I used a stackable patch cable from LFO Tri to VCF Res.
@JezzBrookes2 жыл бұрын
@@ClausGahrn Aha! - thank you, that explains it. Going to search for some stackable cables.
