Claustral Canyon - Blue Mountains - Australia

I remember doing that canyon when i was about 12 yrs old , with some family and friends :)

I wanted to do it again a couple of years ago but the private access was closed. Apparently the owners are building a house there now and don't want people walking by all the time. I have heard that some people have found another way in and out (by making a new track) but I am not sure what it is at the moment.

True - several people have died in Claustral over the years. ALL canyoners should be aware and wary of the potential for flash flooding. If in doubt, better to cancel than risk it. 6am??? Not likely. I'm still in my sleeping bag at 6am. But any later than 9am and you run the risk of walking out in the dark. The hole is coldest for the belayer/rigger (which always seems to be me for some reason).

Is this one now closed? I think they're closed the private access. Is there another access point now?
