I have this theory...considering that Galatea appears to be one of the most mature and lady-like among Claymores, and given her maternal nature towards Rabona's orphans and even her fellow younger warriors, she might have been a mother before becoming a Claymore. She lost her family to a Yoma, who posed as her spouse and devoured her child. Her pride in her appearance and abilities, as well as her dry wit, is only to cope with the painful and lonely life of a Claymore. She's my favorite in this anime, how can I not make a headcanon about her? She's pretty darn fabulous.

Thats an interesting theory which i have also been wondering quite a long time, (5years or so :P) that was Galatea a mother before she became a Claymore? I mean, the amount of time she takes to take care of the Rabona´s orphans is absolutelly breathtaking and gives us a hint that she indeed was a mother before Yoma took her family, Dad, children and so on... A nice theory indeed. I was really disappointed that the Anime did not include more scenes with Galatea - my favorite Claymore as well. I wonder what would her Awakened form look like - perhaps it would resemble a female scorpion - strong, yet reserved hunter that fiercely protects her offspring (few arachnid species do that actually)

I remember listening to this on KZbin some years ago and I always wanted to thank the uploader :) Guess I'll do it now! Galatea's song is my favourite on the CD, and she's also my favourite claymore ever (along with Hysteria). Lately I discovered once again Claymore, which was my #1 manga high school days, and I couldn't be happier! I also found some notes about some ocs I drew back then, and now I'm really tempted to write something on my own and maybe draw it but I'm lacking in fantasy...

OwnedByGalatea thinking again, how transport to claymore universe, Large Hadron Collider somehow binds the consciousness of a human male or female in our current universe to a to-be-claymore female in the claymore universe. each time they sleep, they switch bodies. This could lead to the human from our world experience the horrors of the claymore universe and act as haven for the human from the claymore universe to shield from the horrors of her own universe. The portal will open at the Large Hadron Collider and give the human from our universe a chance to bring the claymore to our universe and end the nightmare. At this point, Large governing bodies of our universe and the governing body of the claymore universe comes into play. The organization may attempt to abduct the human from our universe and turn him or her into claymore warrior due to becoming emotionally attached to her and turn him/her into soul link warriors. This may or may not spark conflict between our universe and the claymore universe. Our universe may realize that the yoma was created by the organization due to reconnaissance drones. The organization may try to cover this up by bribing our governments or through awakened beings attacks in an attempt to drive our universe away from them. If organization choose hostile action, war will erupt and warriors may rebel due to the truth. The Best part of this entire story is that it could be a choose your own story type experience and have enough material to turn into a game such as Detroit: Become Human. And oh... I have a better title, Claymore: Become Human.

@@OwnedByGalatea I believe you mean the manga, as the anime never made it far enough into the story to show her time hiding out as a blind nun in Rabona. It is ok, that is a simple mistake to make when talking about a series with both a manga and anime adaptation. The coolest thing, in my opinion, about Galatea's blindness is that it was absolutely 100% voluntary, since as a defensive type Warrior even after 7 years she was fully capable of healing her eyes at will.

Irene in other hand, well, she was calm also but when she released her special move, it was anything else than calm and she didnt have such ability to sence yoki as Galatea has, thus the name, Flash Sword Irene.

I love this song a lot. I'll always remember Claymore, it's sound-track, and these character songs. Although, I hate the parts where the male vocals come in with rap (The Clare song has it, too.) Claymore was got me into anime, by the way. Was my favourite for the longest time but Fate/Zero deservingly takes that place now.

@skawo4 Not sure what you mean. She is in the manga. Volume 6 of the series of books page 80. She may appear earlier than that but that's where I just found her. She's in some of the other volumes as well. Example she's basically the main character in Claymore 14 being almost entirely about her.

As far as anyone knows, there won't be a second season. I heard Norihiro Yagi, the author of the manga, was and/or still is fighting for one, but so far neither Mad House or Funimation have agreed. But, if a second season were to happen, they'd have to completely redo the ending of the first season in order to get back on track with the manga. Otherwise, they'd pretty much be telling an alternate universe Claymore, and I'm fairly sure that's not what most of the fandom wants.

A GALATEA (NÚMERO 3) é uma CLAYMORE que, além de LINDA, nos passa um ar de MULHER MADURA e tem um SEMBLANTE muito sério. A maneira que ela nos é apresentada, lendo as ÁUREAS YOUMAS da MIRIA, da DENEVE, da HELEN e da CLARE quando estas LUTAM contra o SER DESPERTO MACHO é bem INTERESSANTE já que consegue fazer isto à longa distância. Outra coisa é que ela começa a ESTRANHAR a forma como o ERMITA reage ao saber que aquele SER DESPERTO havia sido ELIMINDO pelas 4 CLAYMORES já que o mesmo parece não ter gostado muito. A cena quando a GALATEA SALVA a CLARE de DAUF é bem ENGRAÇADA pois a leva no colo e diz que ela tem que comer mais por ser tão leve. rs Podemos perceber que ao longe desta batalha em que aparece também a RIFUL DO OESTE a GALATEA faz algumas piadinhas, ou seja, ela tem um certo SENSO DE HUMOR! rs Deveras GALATEA tem um PODER ENORME, que é a de INTERFERIR no poder de seu OPONENTE, e a sua IMPORTÂNCIA dentro do ENREDO CLAYMORE torna-se cada vez mais INTERESSANTE à medida que ela vai DESCOBRINDO como a ORGANIZAÇÃO funciona e como ela procura DESCARTAR as CLAYMORES que não lhe servem mais aos seus propósitos. Na parte final, do EPISÓDIO 26, há uma cena bem INTERESSANTE na qual GALATEA, após ler as ÁUREAS YOUMAS daqueles que estavam LUTANDO em PIETA, aparece na frente de um VITRAL onde vemos a imagem das IRMÃS GÊMEAS DO AMOR, TERESA E CLARE. Depois que termina a LUTA ela RELATA o ocorrido ao RUBEL e sai do local pedindo, mentalmente, que CLARE consiga SOBREVIVER! Aqui podemos perceber que ela já sente uma certa AMIZADE por CLARE. Realmente CLAYMORE é demais...

Well, there would have been 2 fights: Glatea vs the three Slayers and Clare vs Priscilla. Results: Galatea owns Helen and Deneve (but I'm not totally sure about Miria, with 2 allies she could've at least wounded Galatea). Obviously, Priscilla owns Clare and bye-bye anime. Or, Raki intervenes and stops her! (Really, could he do such a thing?)
