Hi 2zzlow I'm that guy from Houston tx. That comment about a 2zzge that i rebuild from scratch about 2yrs ago If you remember. BAD luck for me the 2zz only ran 900 miles then it broke it lost compression i took it apart and the cylinder walls fell apart destoyed new pistons and rings because of that MMC metallic matrix composits crappie block Sorry im upset about it. So to make story short to keep car i went with a 1zzfe now i call it my CURSE Celica. 😂

Do it again, but have the block sleeved with darton sleeves. Then you can run whatever pistons you want, could even run reasonably high boost if you run the right comp pistons. MMC walls don't bode well with forged pistons, iirc

I haven’t really worked on any modern Toyota. I specialize in 1ZZ and 2ZZ and if taken good care of they can last forever. Avoid 2AZ. 2AR is a great Toyota 4 cylinder at the moment. Any Honda is good in my book before 2015

2zz motors are in corollas XRS, celica gt-s, lotus elite and Pontiac vibe GT . Only those cars with those models
