@@ricepony33 That may be so, but you have to appreciate this guy's dedication to the system. CANbus can be a pain to work with if the loads and connections are not exactly the way the OEM harness is. Even wire impedance can be a factor. If he's not throwing any codes, I'd say this is a big W for him.

Because displacement doesn't really tell you how physically big an engine is. Yes it is of course a factor, but they are other factors too like engine design. Viper engine is a pushrod engine so its no where near as wide as it would be if it was DOHC. There are 7 liter Chevrolet pushrod V8s out there that are the same weight and same physical size an a 4 liter DOHC BMW S65 V8. Thats how much difference engine design makes to size.

Just wow, i remember when he started building this. And i like the finished product. I also own a FD RX7, but I went the 20b route. I've had it since 2006 and went 3 rotor in 2008. The hood on this car takes some getting use to but growing on me. I'm a fan, great job and I appreciate all the work he put in. Nice work, really cool.

A little unknown fact while we're talking about Viper V10 powered FD's. A Japanese company named "Top Fuel" made some Dodge Viper conversion bodykits for the FD3S RX7 in the 90's. Pictures and videos are hard to find, but it's real.

As if a Viper wasn't bonkers enough... This needs to be on Autotopia LA. I am a controls engineer with 25 years in, and I have to comment how tidy the wiring is. Very good attention to detail and the wire gromming was excellent. You could pick a single wire and follow it all the way to every termination, almost without busting the loom. Well done sir.

I like this build i do like all rotory motors but when you snap a FD, V8+ swaps are a must! reliable and fast. AWD option is also usually pair with these upgrade.

wow. I love these custom builds. I wish I had the time/money at different points in my life to do this..now i make good money but have a mortgage, kids, responsibilities, etc... and it would take a lot of saving/big loans to put that much cash into a build like that, when family comes first..not likely to happen. There's 400lbs difference just in the engines, plus another 100lbs in the transmission. There must be a lot of bracing in the back to make 1-3% weight shift

This is top 5 coolest cars I’ve ever seen/heard 😮😍🫨 It’s so beautiful and crazy. Not huge on the yellow though. A good deep red/burgundy or even just blacked out would be amazing! Then black out the rims as well with yellow calipers

One of the most overlooked things about all generations of rx7 from the first to the third is the engine compartment, for being one of the smallest displacement engines they have massive engine bays that can fit some of the largest motors pretty easily.
