high density! what happens when it need repairing ? these apartment blocks cost a fortune to build and maintain where as a Victorian or Georgian terrace around a garden square cost little. i don't by this high density authoritarianism way of building, but i do like the sponge city concept though

Thank you so much for the discussion. I have two questions to ask. 1.if this concept is applied in another country, what factors should we look at first? 2. What are the practices in the concept that can be done at low cost and have a big impact in a developing country?

If anyone thinks that sponge cities have less need for drainage infrastructure…just ask the Chinese. It has not worked well…at all.
