The Vortexgear Cypher has 68/69 keys depending on if you get the split space bar or not. It has dedicated arrow keys that a 60% keyboard such as the Anne Pro 2, Ducky One 2 Mini, or Vortexgear Pok3r would not have. It has Cherry MX Clear switches, which are a heavier silent tactile switch compared to Cherry MX Brown switches. It is a simple keyboard with programmable layers up to 100 characters each macro with a detachable USB-C port.

I bought this keyboard a month ago and I’m very impressed. No software needed which means I can use/create/modify any macro wherever I am easily. Plastic base but sturdy. 3 free layers, 100 characters per key allows you to create powerful macro assistance as a developer. No blink blink, not a toy but a serious tool for productivity. Love your channel, thanks.

you have great videos! a nice, unique addition for your upcoming channel would be videos in which you take the keyboards apart. for me as someone who looks forward to buy a new mechanical keyboard, one key feature that unfortunately can't just be in the list of technical details is the ability to (easily) take it apart, just like what the ifixit score represents for phones. love to see it when the keyboard is made for taking it apart and a later reassembly and it would be really interesting to see it for at least some keyboards

Thank you for all your videos. I am sold on this keyboard for having Colemak layout onboard. I have been scouring the internet to figure out a way to be able to use colemak on my office (windows) computer, which wont allow any software installation. Can you please recommend any other keyboard options which have onboard memory similar to this KB?

Cool stuff, I'm looking for a keyboard with a metal base and so far the HyperX Alloy Origins Core RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is the only one I have found. Do you know of any others?

I have the Vortex Gear Tab 90M....full metal plus metal black plate. Great keyboard. Only downside is finding keycaps that look fun for the layout type. Its a DSA keyboard layout.

@@SwitchandClickOfficial Ya, I don't like having any keys missing. I do video production by trade and need the other keys for editing shortcuts. I'd love to have a smaller keeb if I could. Does cherry work on the 96%? I was worried because of the sculpt of the keys that they wont match up with the other rows so i did not even try, just went with a black and white set of DSA Maxkeys.

@@SwitchandClickOfficial That hyperx is great, the rgb is particularly nice on it. Do you find that the k6 is too tall? I've heard some people complain about it's height. You actually said it in this video 😂 I was looking at getting one but I'd probably want to change the case, can you even do that? How have I never heard of that durgod?!

@@SwitchandClickOfficial I guessed that was gonna be it! Yeah I didn't think about the buttons... I've been trying to get a wireless mechanical that I can mod but...it's not easy!

Besides the tilde and grave on the FN which is a pain in the ass, the way the keyboard changes to qwerty, dvorak and colemak is the best way to use it since you are changing in the "hardware" and not relying on the OS, and for me who dual boot with linux (because of games compatibility on windows) on my main pc it is good news, just use US international and be happy

@@AshSeaGull dvorak is nice but colemak it's less keys to remap your brain and for my native language i basically use 65% of home roll, i'm still lazy by not switching fully to colemak but it is the alternative keyboard layout of choice. I tried dvorak as my first alternative but after i seeing the home row of the "brazil native keyboard" layout i changed to dvorak since it is really close to it and it is basically a better US international
