Thanks. I enjoy how descriptive and how you breakdown all the steps. I’ve been camping since I was a child, but since being an adult my husband did most of the outside work. Now he’s gone and I’ve got to do it! I’m going to keep traveling and seeing this awesome country. Thanks for posting all your videos.

Very well done! Great channel! Always stimulates and inspires my learning!!! By isolating, as you suggest the hw tank (not including the rv's plumbing), aren't you concerned the decomposed particles from the anode rod and calcium material are circulating and building up in the rv's plumbing, too? Thank you for your vids.

Not really - obviously cleaning and flushing the tank at least once a quarter when in use helps remove the sediment. You could always remove the aerators on your faucets and clean them out periodically too to see if any of the sediment is making its way up that far - personally haven't had any issues with it on our rig

Newbie question here-by putting the tape on the anode rod, do you just leave the anode rod in all the time and not drain the water tank?
@rvgearandfar
@rvgearandfar 6 ай бұрын
During normal use the anode will be installed. Youll remove it when cleaning the tank, emptying the tank to winterize the plumbing system or to replace it (will typically be during one of those two other scenarios). The anode rod is a sacrificial piece that degrades instead of the tank itself and therefore prolongs the tank lifespan. Be on the lookout for a dedicated anode rod video coming soon

It doesn’t fill my tank up😢 it goes until where I have connected the hose and then it comes up the hose instead filling the tank 😢 what am I doing wrong?

Help me help you- give me more details on this question. Do you have the pressure release valve OPEN at the top? If it was closed you could possibly have created a vacuum inside and the "bubble" of air is pushing back
