I just took our Christmas tree down lol. It wasn’t because I wanted to keep it up until almost March, but life was busy, got a promotion at work so that came with a lot more workload. What’s really got me is that I’ve been singing Christmas songs haha so I really feel like I haven’t moved past December 😂. Can’t wait to see how beautiful the kitchen looks after everything is done. What’s also important for consumers to know about affiliate links is that when you click on them the cookies stay active for at least 30 days. That means that if you click on an Amazon link, those cookies are active for the next at least 30 days, and the influencer gets a commission from EVERY Amazon purchase one makes during the time cookies are active on your devices. So if you make 10 purchases via Amazon, the influencer will get a % of each of those 10 purchases.

Yes that’s true, as long as the consumer doesn’t clear their cookies. It’s not nearly the same percentage as if they purchased the exact linked item though. So if the item is $20 & the commission percentage is 5.7% (a common percentage) the influencer will receive $1.14 commission from that sale. If the consumer clicks the link but doesn’t buy that exact item, the percentage drops as low as 0.1% of sales. So you could buy $200 worth of products through that link & the influencer commission will be 2 cents. Either way, using influencer links to shop for products you’re interested in is a super easy way to support your favorite content creators. 😊

I definitely am happy to support the channel any way I can, but just curious, did you have homeowner’s insurance? My parents had a dishwasher leak and it wrecked all of their floors in the living room and kitchen and they had a great contractor who was able to get their insurance to pay for a brand new kitchen (cabinets, counters etc) and floors.

The insurance only covered $6k and the total estimate ended up being $43k. 😭
