I am the noob who messed up their GTA V mod installation process and needed to clean up the mess. I didn't have a clue until I stumbled upon this video. I used this tool to have all the mods in one folder in under 15secs and proceeded to delete that folder. Hopefully that will solve my issues. I was a bit sketched out at first but I still downloaded and tried it out. I extracted the tool and dragged to GTA V directory. I used clean command and it works. Same with the restore command, it restored all my mods. I moved the "modstore" folder with all my mods out of my GTA V directory just to be extra safe from the GTA system detecting the mods in directory.

Well, you have to back up your game files so that when you want to play GTA Online, you can move that folder elsewhere and put the clean backup in its place.

One of the files is likely being used by another process and causes it to break. Try doing it after restarting your computer or make sure GTA 5 and everything else that uses the files there are shut down entirely

Sorry, if the mods edited the game files directly there's not much that can be done. If you use Steam, try verifying the cache integrity to only download what you need.
