Ok how about what falls in the vertical part of the pipe if you have a fire in it and it just so happens when you pull the wire back you drop a enough down into the elbow at the back of the stove that it blocks it ...your screwed

If you have that kind of setup it's a messy pain to take apart and clean. Now I clean it once a week and no mess, and only take a minute or two.

A Motorcycle Nut I watched all of your reburn vids about 3 to 4 times each. Very well done straight to the point and great explanations. I do have a few questions however, that I hope you might be able to answear. About what effiency, in cords burned per year, roughly, did you notice after your modifications? What size house are you heating and what are the winter temperatures like where you live? I have a mama bear that I have been lugging around for over 10 years and never used. Now that I'm on my on again I have decided to refurbish her and fire it up. I have about a 1550 sqft house in Northern Michigan that I plan to heat with it. The footage is going to max her out but I'm hoping the mostly open floor plan and a couple of your video inspired mods will keep the winter winds at bay. I watched a few of your bike vids too, pretty cool man. You are definitely living the dream. Thanks

When I first moved to the west Michigan area, 50 miles north of Grand Rapids by the lakeshore, in the early 1990s. I used to burn about 8-9 cords per year. After the modifications, it went to 4-5 cords depending on how long and cold the winters are. Drying the wood properly helped efficiency about the same amount as the stove modifications, so keep that in mind. Cut your green wood in the spring before the leaves are on the trees seems to make the highest btu fuel, if you dry it right and burn it the next winter. Average winter temps in January are 15 F, but it does get below zero frequently with lots of wind. We get a lot of snow cause I'm in the snow belt. I heat about 1800 square feet. I keep bed rooms cool for sleeping. hope that answers your questions.

A Motorcycle Nut, perfect. Sounds like I can cut my wood consumption in about half. I was running a Woodstock soapstone at my other place a we burned up 7 cords heating a 900 foot house. More like a cabin and not isolated Very well. I'm about 10 miles to the west of Moorstown and the start of the jack pine endo run. We get some snow kinda the edge of the belt.

Merci Super, it's two hours I search on the internet if someone has the idea to do that! Bein, I got my answer. I had the idea to leave inside a rod with a half moon at the end, at the angle to scrape as well the vertical pipe, but a good wire should be correct. Thank you
