I have 3 car seats in my car! I have a 4 year old, 1 year old, and a 2 month old and the way I keep their seats smelling fresh is I wash their covers in the washing machine with scent boosters and let them air dry so they have a really strong fresh scent still and I take 1 day out of the week to vacuum them out and wipe them and keep them maintained and spray them down with a linen spray! It works great and for a mom car recommendation I have a Kia Minivan! I absolutely love it! So much room and I love the DVD player!

We’ve been out of car seats for awhile, but I would always strip the cover off and wash it in the washing machine every month or two, and wipe down the plastic parts with antibacterial wipes. I love just taking the car seat apart and throwing the covers in the washer with a little vinegar or peroxide to combat smells. Then just line drying the covers. It really helps and makes it really easy to clean all the plastic parts without the covers in the way. We have four kiddos and I drive a Ford Flex and love it. The third row is great and the vehicle is really spacious. Now I need to tackle my car... ;)

I just got a Chevy Traverse and love it! We have 5 kids, one who required a wheel chair and with the 3rd row up it has space in the back for the chair. Also the one I have has bucket seats for the second row so the kids and walk to the 3rd row without climbing over the seats and getting them dirty. Not to mention mine is amazing on gas! I originally went to look at Tahoe’s but the traverse had more room for things if that makes sense. I all around love mine and it works great for our family of 7!

I've seen a ton of comments recommending mats under the carseats. Unless your manual specifically states you can use a mat, please don't. Sure, they keep your seats clean but they also compromise the integrity of the car seat in an accident. Some manufacturers allow for a thin towel underneath. I love watching your videos and just wanted to pass this info along to keep your precious babies safe! ♥️

When my minivan gets really crumby I take my broom (a brush would work for those who don’t have as much headroom) and sweep out all the crumbs. Its SOOO much easier and faster than running my cordless over and over the same areas. I’ll still do one last pass with my vacuum just to get the dirt I can’t see, but it’s seriously a game changer.

I have a Buick enclave. I like how the seats slide. so you could have 2 car seats in the middle row and one in the back. I like this because of the angular momentum and it flips. The risk of death and neck instantly breaking is just not a worry. If other people wish to use center seats that's your decision. You do what's best. But I learned this fact from one of the leading physicists in the world. The year I got has the largest trunk area compared to the other cross overs when all seats are used. I like how the middle row seats change in 3 ways. So easy to clean. I have a dog so she can hop in easily, vs. a vehicle on a truck suspension. But, Bri, go for what makes you smile and brings joy to your family. I do have leather seats. I think with kids that's always a plus. Good luck!!!

Just a heads up: For your car seat cleaning, check the manual, you can google it too or call the company. Most do not allow any of those cleaning sprays to be used. And a lot do allow washing machine cleaning now with hang drying. You can void your warranty using those products and deteriorate the fire retardant.

Great job! I wanted to let you know in most cars you can take out the rubber of the cup holder and clean in there and put the rubber back on. For leather seats you should use let her conditioner idk if that's how it's called but basically it will make your seats, steering wheel, and interior of your doors stay in great condition. Especially in the heat so they don't start to crack and peel

We have a Honda Odyssey and I love it! I said I would never ever get a minivan but when we were looking at cars there’s just not a ton of space in SUV’s unless you go really big (Expedition, Suburban, etc) which is expensive. With our van my 3 year old can crawl in his sisters side and climb into his seat while I get her in. I’m so glad I was talked into this car, it has been absolutely amazing. I don’t think I will go back to an SUV until our kids are older, especially with the sliding doors, you aren’t risking your kid swinging the door open and hitting another car when parked.

I wash my car seats in the washer or by hand as per the manual instructions. Then hang them to dry. I use baby wipes or a damp rag on the plastic shell.
