We lived in Houston many years ago. In 1982, the eye of Hurricane Alicia went right over our house. Quite scary! We were fortunate that we didn’t lose power for very long. We had some minor tree & fence damage.

Our former son in law and grandson live in the Woodlands and fortunately suffered minimal damage but definitely didn't have power for a few days. I'm glad you and your family are safe and well. As inconvenient and expensive as it is to replace things, we don't always have control especially when Mother Nature decides to make her presence known!

Madison, do you ever feel like a mama duck, with all your ducklings following you in a line every where you go? Even the dog! 🐕 My life was the same, I’d practically fall over my dog all the time if I turned around fast and tried to go back in the opposite direction. I think that’s just the way all families are when the kids are little. The mom is the sun and everyone revolves around her. And I can’t believe how beautiful the dog is. I cannot remember her name (girl, I’m old!) but she sure is beautiful. She’s filled out and her coat is full and a deeper color than when she was a puppy I think. You are definitely her favorite person, although I think Carter is a close second. I’m glad all you lost was a fence and a few trees. And you’re all home safe and sound! Take care. Hi Madison I’m so glad you and your family are safe and you only had minimal damage. I live in the Adirondacks in New York our winters can be rough with snow and ice but this summer we’ve had tornados which is rare. We had five confirmed a few days ago . We were lucky only flooding a lot of roads closed . My daughter lives about a half hour away and she didn’t have power for a few days. We were lucky it could have been a lot worse. 🙏🏻

We have ice storms/snow storms mostly here in the mountains in NM (Cloudcroft area). We have had horrible winds lately, also making the wild fires even worse.

We have tornadoes, floods, derechos in Iowa. A derecho is like an inland hurricane. The winds get upwards of 90 mph. It uproots trees, blows down fences and of course power outages. This year Iowa has experienced two tornadoes, a derecho and a flood in different places. It’s been a devastating year for Iowa and our country.

What a Blessing that you all are ok and had your in-laws that you were able to stay. Praise GOD for his protection over you family.✝️🛐✝️ PS: I live in Southern California, so we do not have hurricanes or tornadoes. We are known for earthquakes; but they are few and far between...just temblors and a little "rocking and rolling"...once "in a blue moon."🤷🏾‍♀️

Si escuchas bien el video dice que no tuvieron electricidad durante varios dias y evidentemente toda la comida en las neveras/ congeladores estaba malo y tuvo que tirarlo. Comer comida mala te puede causar graves intoxicaciones , ( If you listen carefully to the video she says they didnt have electricity for several days, and ofcourse all food in fridges and freezers had to be thrown away. Eating food in bad conditions can cause serious poisonings,

Где живу я, нет ни торнадо, ни наводнений. Но у нас есть заморозки. Это когда днём температура +20°С , а ночью -3°С. Природа расцветает в тепле и солнце, а ночью от холода все гибнет. Вот такое у нас есть.
