Carla has 2 adult children, living at home. They shouldn't need asking, to clean their own rooms properly and help their mum. Especially when their mum has lymphoedema, which is so painful. My 2 Adult sons live at home. 1 is wheelchair dependent, but still loves( and offers) to chop and peel vegetables , and have a go at cooking for me. The other does laundry, the recycling and assists his brother in showering and dressing. He, also, loves to cook some meals. I'm very proud of them both

Glad to see I'm not the only one who does recycling in bare feet. In the same boat with my hall/stairs carpet. Still waiting on the quote. I managed to get luxury vinyl flooring on market place for £35 to redo my kitchen floor. Looks like laminate flooring but much easier to put down. As long as your floors are level it might be a good alternative for your kitchen and people are selling unused often quite cheaply.

They're not level unfortunately, I was thinking of looking at some levelling compound. It's just that you can't get to the loo without going through the kitchen so finding a good time to use levelling compound is a challenge!

Looks lovely, well done, it’s so nice to have everything back to clean and fresh, even for 5 minutes, I normally do mine twice a week, bathroom daily and kitchen, working full time and dealing with some ‘stuff’ my home feels neglected, so as I am off today, I will ramp up some music and get cracking, worse job the stairs! 😫 Your home is a home just like mine and people live there, I always feel uncomfortable in a home that’s like something off a TV advert 🤣 Legs shorts didn’t bother me at all, you are cleaning, you would look proper weird in a ball gown scrubbing the kitchen floor 👍🏼😂

If its "friends" you had coming, then they accept you for who you are, not to judge your home. A proper home does not look like a show home, it looks lived in and filled with love🥰. Nothing worse than feeling "uncomfortable" in someone's home because it looks sooo perfect. But I suppose a clean round does make anyone feel better. You did good tho, especially because "you yourself did it" (with some help from Natalie). I have 3 cats n 2 small dogs and it's practically impossible to keep my house "hair free" (just tell people that's why it's called FURniture !!!. You've got my vote any day because anyone who cares for their pets like you do is up there at the top 🥰. And how you looked? How are you suppose to look to when cleaning the house 🤔. I have tried to make a schedule of cleaning since no shipping on Saturdays, I clean the kitchen and the bathroom on that day. I plan enough in drafts to make them live on Saturday. Shipping room gets straightened up on Friday night after shipping is done, lots of fussing used to go on when husband did shipping, now that I ship, I just fuss silently at myself. My bedroom never gets done since I only have a bed against the wall, I only sleep their. Front room gets constantly done, when ever I have a break since there is so much furniture in it I can sit anywhere and reach everything. All the vacuuming gets done when I start getting cranky from seeing stuff on the floor. My kitchen floor is worse than yours's we have had so many water leaks (house was built in the 30's) we need a new subfloor. Not until the plumbing gets redone which is hopefully going to be done on Monday. Thanks for the video.

I agree with your comment “ why do I have to do everything?” I have two 20 somethings and it never crosses their minds to empty the recycling bin or empty the dishwasher. It drives me crazy. If I find anything where it shouldn’t be I now just lob it into their bedroom……very satisfying 😊 Just think of how many calories you burned off doing the housework 🎊🎉

You should of had your Fitbit on you would of been amazed at the step count it’s a full on workout I do cleaning for a job it keeps me fit . You looked fine in your shorts , hope you enjoy a relaxing weekend after the busy birthday one last week or are you celebrating Lexx birthday ? with her this weekend . A tip I gave my friend for a stain on her carpet that she couldn’t wash out was to use ace stain fabric remover on it as she was going to replace the carpet anyway it worked so well she kept her carpet do a test area first if you try it xx

Hi, that's a good idea using the plastic placemats underneath the cat bowls. I always bought the ones for cats or dogs from the pet aisle in shops, until I discovered I could just tear off a piece of cardboard and use it instead of having to wash the mats, because after a while the shop bought ones would curl up, but the cardboard stays flat.

Oh Lord, I feel your pain. As the sole resident of a two bedroomed, thatched, multi-dog cottage with zero storage. Hair and dust in the strangest places, I also never put stuff back and as my office is my living area. that can cause mayhem. Thankfully, no carpets but I daren't look under the bed. I bought some coverless duvets from M&S (saw them on Caroline's channel) and I will never change a duvet cover again. Saves all that sweat & struggle. PS: Check that wall socket (6.28) beside the recycling bin. It looks dodgy.

Thankyou for doing one of these videos.I`m so fed up of seeing the American woman ,with their huge homes ,so much storage space for everything .that they became unrelatable!I have ocd ,but having fibro/arthritis makes it much harder to keep up the (once) manic cleaning! We have 2 cats ,so i`m permanently hoovering up fur too!! As for how you looked whilst doing housework ,i always end up sweaty sticky ,and smelling of cleaning products....oh and my needing a cut desperately hair ,escapes from the scrunchy i put it up in and i look like i`ve been dragged throughna hedge backwards!LOL.Great job Carla! It`s hard work ,but the satisfaction after is rewarding.Now put your feet up and enjoy a well earned cuppa!xx

Wouldn’t be with out them though💕 house work is hard! I get exhausted just thinking about it!
