we keep our potatoes and onions in a small wicker basket with a fabric liner on our kitchen counter..just a basic one from walmart that have the little beige fabric on the inside. nothing fancy or super expensive and works great. if weather isnt bad, we'll store them in garage. but we usually just have small amount for basket on counter. but my mom who usually has more bulk items, uses a metal tier stand from costco that has wire baskets in a caddy style thing in the corner of the kitchen.

Great video that is totally motivating! I likes the angles you used and the audio was fine for me. What we do for potatoes is stick them in the basement or you could use any other spot in the house that's cooler and they end up lasting longer

Hey Shawna.... I have a couple of suggestions, you can get a plastic container for Connors food, I believe we got ours at Walmart for about $15. I just use a small plastic container from dollar tree for the potatoe and leave on the counter, they have some gray ones that match your kitchen. I've heard it's not good to leave potatoes in the fridge because it dries up the other veggies....idk The struggles of working outside of the home. I am now at another job and working a 2nd shift which gives me time during the morning to take care of house chores which otherwise I would drag to do after working a 1st shift.

Putting potatoes in the fridge uncooked is a big No No. They will turn green and become poisonous in the fridge. The best way to store potatoes you put then in an open basket not in the fridge. Cooked potatoes are safe to put in the fridge.

Your video was great but as a constant drought affected Australian, I think you use about 6 times the water I do to clean up. I know it's culture based but, I am always secretly a little bit appalled.
@MomLikely4 жыл бұрын
I know I'm horrible about dishes. I wash in the dishwasher because I avoid them if I have to hand wash lol (I know first world problems) but because of that rinsing the dishes in the same water is irritating to me so I run it. I'm trying to reduce more around here so maybe I need to start paying attention here. By the way how are you doing over there with the fire crisis? I don't watch mainstream media but I keep seeing save the animals 😭 that is devistating!
@ilovefabricandflowers85434 жыл бұрын
@@MomLikely I live in an area that has been moderately affected. It is not the constant drought but where I live there is a forest that is not all eucalyptus. Eucalyptus forests literally explode and the flames are 20 metres in the air. About water conservation, when I do dishes I take the largest container that I have I put about 2 cups of water in it. I then have dishwashing detergent put into a spray bottle and I spray my dishes etc with this. I then use the water in the container to wash everything. I then take another cloth put about the same fresh water in the container and then I wipe the dishes over. If I'm lucky I can wash all my dishes for the day with only 4 cups of water, 6 cups at the most. I do the same for showering. Wet body then scrub with soapy water in dish then rinse off quick. I can then recycle the water for my plants or washing my steps and verandahs etc.
@MomLikely4 жыл бұрын
@@ilovefabricandflowers8543 I'm gonna try to conserve more! 6 cups is so much less than I use. Glad your not in full harms way right now.
