You're fully correct about giving yourself enough room, alot of my fades have been really subpar and its because i was always taking my guides to thin but i've started being braver and giving myself a good amount of room to fade and and the difference is unreal it just looks cleaner and more professional.. i always think im going too high but very really am

If at all possible (because I'm a female barber in the making) can you show the guard numbers as you go along with the fade on the client. It's silly but I believe its a crucial part of knowing the guards, what they can do, and the look they all provide. It took me forever just to understand "open and close" on the clipper itself. Again, it's silly but I just graduated cosmetology school, I'm a 48-year-old-aspiring-female-barber and I appreciate all the videos you have provided and continue to post. Thanks in advance for your consideration! Wishing you continued blessings throughout your career!

I like your videos and your a pretty good barber. Funny thing, I wondered what you were saying when you talked about the back of the head. I had to turn on the subtitles. In the uk we call the back the crown and a cow lick is what I think you were trying to say is usually the front where the hair naturally sticks up like a cow has liked your forehead and made your hair stick up at the hairline, hence the name. Don't mean to sound like a smart arse but I think that is correct. Crown at the back cowlick at the front. Although I have seen swirls at the nape of the neck too. Keep up the good work.

The section that you are referring to as a cowslick is actually called the crown area of the head. A cowslick is located at the front of the head. However, the fade looks tight.

Stretching the blend is my problem! I'm so scared to ruin someones low fade into a high fade!
@PAPIGONZO8054 жыл бұрын
I tried a couple of times. Start the first line a little lower than usual then try stretching the blend. I really helps me view the blend process better. Plus the client really appreciates it

Hey jorge, can you do a video on a haircut like this but instead of using clipper over comb, use guards, 3,4,5 etc
@everettwhite98745 жыл бұрын
Dream Chaser Depending on the cut and style barbers have in mind the larger guard (3,4,5) are often use to reduce bulk. It’s been easier for me to use shears or clippers over fingers/comb if the hair is long enough for large guards. Most men’s cuts/styles involve a lot of tapering so, smaller guards and cutting techniques are used. I hope you find what you’re looking for my friend. Good luck.
