Thanks for this. I’m assuming the Trinity can be cleaned in the same manner. Question on the Woodland, I just purchased a Woodland (it will be in jail for some months now) and I had the shop upgrade to SS baffles, will a simple clean solution be ok on the SS baffles? Thanks.

Yep, they will be totally fine

Finally a video on how to reassemble this suppressor!! I can't get the last baffle out of the tube. I have been using a wooden dowel and a rubber mallet and it still won't budge. Seems carbon locked. I've broken several dowels. I've got it to budge a little bit but it's still closer to the threaded end than it is to the open end. I squirted the baffle with REM oil and hoppe's 9. Currently letting it sit then I'm going to try again to knock it out. If that doesn't work any suggestions? Also is there a way I can send it in to you guys and get the baffles upgraded to Stainless Steel, i'll gladly pay haha. I have another 22 can and it has SS baffles and it's such a breeze to clean.

You can definitely drop the woodland and all the pieces into a box and we can take care of it, get that last baffle out and yes, we can probably even swap them for you Fire off an email to me at kkinzer@gsltechnology.com and we can make it happen If you are in michigan, you might even stop in the shop and we can do it there

What would you suggest to clean a 9mm aluminum SD can. It’s closed off so I can not take it apart.
@iamKevinKinzer18 күн бұрын
I’d always check the original manufacturer guidelines on cleaning That being said, I wouldn’t see why the simple green/water mixture wouldn’t work, maybe put that tube in a capped pvc pipe and let it soak. I’ve seen some large sd brushes also Dang, this is a pretty old video. lol

Should I use the power green 50/50 with the baffles in an ultrasonic?

So i just got my first can. A rugged mustang 22. I dont even have it yet and am already having a little bit of buyers remorse not being able to use it in a sonic cleaner. I was going to use bore butter on it but that seems so messy and cumbersome. So youre saying i can use 7075 aircraft grade aluminum in a ultrasonic cleaner ?
@iamKevinKinzer2 ай бұрын
I didn’t use an ultrasonic here, just put them in a glass. I wouldn’t use anything ammonia based or super abrasive on your 7075 components, but the ultra sonic itself isn’t the issue no, it’s the solvents.

Oh K... Got an idea... An ice tray that makes craft ice cubes shaped like baffles.. Yeah...? Not a bad video Kevin. . Simple Green is an excellent choice by the way. I run it diluted in my sonic cleaner exclusively. By the way, I could not select to be alerted when new videos are posted on this channel...? Not sure if that's the way you have it set up or if KZbin has gotten their dirty mits involved..

Not sure, I think they just hate the 2nd :(

I've been hearing mixed reviews about using Simple Green that it could strip the anodizing.....thoughts?
@iamKevinKinzer2 жыл бұрын
I diluted it down 50/50 since simple green is concentrated, and I generally just use it on the baffles. The tube generally doesn’t need to soak like that. I will do a test piece of anodized and double check this for you.

@@iamKevinKinzer Thanks for the quick reply! And a test would be pretty awesome! It could help dispel the online chatter!

Are the .22 baffles aluminum?
@iamKevinKinzer2 жыл бұрын
The first (closest to the muzzle) is titanium, but the rest of the baffles and tube are made with 7075 aluminum.
