Hey man I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate this video. I was having the exact same issue with the exact same piece of equipment. And I did everything you showed to do here, and thankfully I watched too the end as I done the exact same thing. It would not start. I had no clue that was a jet in there my friend. Poked it clean, sprayed it, and BOOM fired right up!!!! 4 days I spent, 3 times pulling the carb!!! Thank you so so much man! Perfect explanation!

Several comments mention that the final screw that Jo cleaned last is not for draining the bowl as is the case is some designs. If you look at where that bolt attaches to the carb, it is basically the end of the "straw" for sucking in the fuel from the bowl bottom. If those holes are clogged, no fuel will make it to the carb. Also if you look in the center of the bolt there is a tiny hole which looks like a first stage jet. I followed Jo's video as well and poof, it works like a champ. Thanks for the great video!

Thank you! Thank you! I had watched a similar video and learned how to take the carburetor apart, but hadn’t done a good job cleaning out that plug at the bottom of the bowl. Had the same problem. I could pull that cord all day and it just won’t start. Apparently gas was not getting to the engine. So I saw what you did at the end and did the same thing. And like magic! Started on the first pull! Back in business!

I tried starting my pressure washer today and was having the same problem. Your last step in cleaning that tiny, seemingly insignificant, hole on the end of the bolt that holds the bowl on to the carb did the trick. I didn't even know it was there, and had only checked the hole the goes though the bolt. and it was clear. I thought I was going to have to remove the carb and clean it like you did, and for me that is like a major mechanical undertaking. I thank you for going through all that, so I didn't have to. I've learned my lesson...fuel stabilizer won't work well for motors that are seldom ran, like my pressure washer, because of all the ethanol added to gas today.

I am having the same trouble, same engine. It looks like there is room to place a fuel cutoff valve in there to keep this from reoccurring again. Great video, Thanks I would recommend installing the fuel cutoff valve ASAP. I got mine running again after cleaning out carburetor. While I was using it ran out of gas, which is desirable if you want to store it for an extended period. Before adding more fuel to continue my job I noticed there was a small amount of fuel in the tank. I think that once I tilted the machine to roll it, that little bit of fuel could have trickled into the fuel line and into the carburetor recreating the same problem as before if I just stored it.

It's your main jet! Also, manual warns that you must have hose attached and water on before starting the engine or else warranty is void. Final thought, the engine manual shows an optional fuel filter in the middle of the fuel inlet hose that you detached from the carb. My had a plugged inlet valve, and a plugged main jet, so I am adding a fuel filter to mine.

Excellent video. Really good detail. The little nut at the bottom of the bowl, is the key player. The two side holes on it let gasoline in from the bottom of the bowl to the tiny center hole, and the little hole in the center jets it to the emulsion tube, and that is how you go from a liquid floating in a bowl to a spray into the cylinder. I am in the middle of doing this to my washer for the second time. I actually first got it as a curbside pickup and that was the whole original problem. Next time I use it I will drain it completely (including the bowl) so I don't have to do this again. Thanks for sharing.

If you install a fuel shutoff valve on the line between the gas tank and the carb, all you have to do is shut that valve and run the engine until it dies. Much simpler than taking everything apart each time.

Nice video! Nice save on the gas intake holes versus air! This video applies to most lawnmower engines and small engines. UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust kzbin.infoUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.
