Yes or a scraper. Also u really meed several hours for products like oven cleaner and limescale removal toilet bowl cleaners to work. They need overnight ideally, to be effective and in stubborn cases like this, night needs several nights to break down the layers of limescale. I'd suggest removing all the water from the toilet bowl beforehand snd then soaking cotton wool with the cleaner and applying that to the worst affected areas (stops 90% of the oriduct just draining down the loo)

I once had a client's husband who was grieving just like that. He was completely frozen and to this day I think of him. My partner of 44 years died a year ago, I would never dishonor the house he purchased for us to live in, grief is still a factor, but I clean as I've always done it just takes longer because I'm in my mid-70s. I've always done the yard work because I enjoyed doing it so that's getting done also. I know it's harder when a man loses his wife because he has to take on chores he is not accustomed to doing, I hope this man recovers from the loss of his wife I understand the sadness and loneliness after the death a loved one. Wow that was a lot of scrubbing. Looks 99.9 percent better. I’d invest in a pumice stone and a razor blade scraper. Shouldn’t cost to much and you can find them at your local hardware store. Great job

Excellent job! I so admire your hard work persistence and especially your giving of yourself to others❤. My son has problems with limescale stains and the only thing that works when I’ve gone there to try and help. I bought an excellent pack of multi scrapers and cleaning tools (all one package) from Amazon last year for $8 and best think I have ever bought for cleaning. The scrapers take off things I never thought would come off. You’re awesome❤

Hi, Coline, I know it's a crazy idea, but I've actually gently applied a fine sandpaper to the lime and badly stained areas, took it right off. ( Mind you the bathtub needs to be re-surfaced). Maybe a metal scraper applied carefully to the lime. There is steel wool as well, that stuff is AMAZING! Thanks Coline!

Hallo Coline! You certainly worked hard, and I bet your arms are aching. Limescale is such a pain! I think I have seen Aurikaterina from Norway leave the product on overnight, or at least for some hours, and then I think she has a blade scraper that helps scrape it off. But I know you only had a set amount of time and I think you worked wonders! It was an awful bathroom and it was very difficult to clean in the small spaces between the tub and the toilet, besides the limescale on everything except the floor! Thank you for helping this old man. It looks so much nicer! Maybe he can get a cleaner in once a week so things don't get so bad. Kind regards from New Zealand.

I live in northern France and the water is very hard. The only thing that can remove this limestone is boiling white vinegar that you let sit for an hour and then scrub. You did an awesome job in this bathroom

G'day, Peachette! If you ever get a chance to watch CleanWithBarbie, she very often gets down on her hands and knees and scrubs floors "the old-fashioned way", with a scrub brush or a cloth.

@@lindacowles756 hi and thanks! I actually found Coline through Barbie, but stopped watching her and Midwest because I didn't like how they were always saying their cleanings were free. I understand it was for the algorithm and that was a thing for a while that everyone did, but it just seemed super disingenuous and even boastful. A lot of the channels morph into something else when they have a lot of subs, and that's why I am enjoying Coline, she is just doing her best humbly :)

@@lindacowles756 any social media algorithm promotes videos/content similar to those which are doing well. So if midwest is raking in crazy views plastering "FREE cleaning", then other people follow that example and do it too. If you pay attention, lots of different niches have similar thumbnails, video titles etc. it's going out on a limb trying to do something different than other successful videos, but then again you might "hook in" the algorithm to start promoting your videos to other people if you hit certain parameters

They also make a battery operated water pump, I got mine at Home Depot, makes emptying water from small water features, toilets, stopped up sinks so much easier.

Pse look into Spirits of Salts which works extremely well at cleaning the dark marks off the toilet. It needs to be left on for a few hours for such extreme dirt but it works. After leaving it scrubbing will remove the dark marks. Excellent cleaning by the way.

Girl, listen, I had to stop the video to tell you this. You need some pumice, steel wool and a razor scraper and some of the $20 3M Masks from Home Depot. And maybe some of the acid toilet bowl cleaner. From one cleaner to another. I damn near worked myself to death doing what you're doing in this video. Your arms, shoulders and lower back will thank you💕

In that case of a hard limescale to take out in a toilet bowl i just used a muriatic acid while my mouth is having face mask and then close the cover for a while before brush it again and flush. A toilet bowl cleaner are not for thicker limescale since it is only anti-bacteria,germs and a light limescale.

You did an amazing job on that toilet! It looked 1000 times better. To get it looking brand new you would need a couple days with oven cleaner to sit and work. Don't be so hard on yourself. You couldn't be there for days. The whole bathroom looked brand new.

If you can soak paper towels in vinegar and lay them on the scale for an hr or so I bet it would clean up good.
