Very very interesting, first time I finally see someone doing it. Thanks. I often asked how to clean my rifle and everybody says that "cotton pellets" are enough with airguns, some even say that with the time a tiny film of lead creates on the barrel and protects it and, using same pellets, it gives more accuracy. Someone else thinking like this??? For me, honestly, watching this video was the confirmation I was looking for, tomorrow I will be in action. 🎉

I clean pretty much the same way every 500-1000. I use Balistol since TSI seemed bad for some of my plastic parts. My first patch comes out a lot dirtier than yours. It is nice to see people take care of their equipment. You will go far in life.

If it was an Air Arms rifle oil could get in to the transfer port unless you turn the rifle upside down,I think yours is different mechanically.

Yes, I've never heard of Air Arms, but I'm pretty sure mine is a different mechanical design. I learned how to clean my gun from my dad, and he carefully looked over my rifle before showing me how to clean it. Thank you for that tip, though! Who knows when I might come across an Air Arms

Rifles like this are all set to produce the same amount of power for competition purposes. Unfortunately, I do not remember what that number is, unfortunately.

Apologies for the late reply. If you still have not purchased a rifle, I would suggest the 800 or 800x as they are more customizable then the 700. However, remember your budget, and if you can't afford either, go for the 700.

I usually give my OBI a wipe down every few weeks. However, I only shoot pellets one or two times a week since I got my Scatt system

Cleaning the barrel is not nessasary. Just wipe the metal pieces with a slight oily rag, thats enough.

On the outside, yes! But my guardians want me to shoot as well as possible, so we clean the inside of the barrel, and then we shoot some pellets at our backstop to ensure that no oil is left for the next time I shoot. I really appreciate your insight! We just do some things differently, and that's ok! I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Exactly I shoot over a 1000 rounds, then find a pellet the gun likes. Never have to clean a pellet gun. Lead does not foul a barrel. Gun powder fouls a barrel. Most folks don't know that and clean there pellet gun barrels all the time.

I have found that lead and copper both can build up in a barrel, not just powder fouling. I wish I didn't have to clean, but it does make a difference, especially in some barrels more than others.

I have put over 250,000 pellets through my FWB rifle and have never cleaned the barrel. Accuracy is the same as when the rifle was brand new. If you like the ritual of cleaning the barrel, go ahead and do so, but don’t expect to see any improvement in accuracy.
