I love how she jumps into the cup ... Her tank looks beautiful and you do such a good job carefully cleaning everything. A clean tank/cage is as satisfying as clean sheets on a bed... Very rewarding. Hi, I’m actually surprised I’m early! Thanks for the video! Always enjoy seeing updates! How often do you change the sand fully in the sand bath? Any updates on how good the teabag bedding is for burrowing?

It depends really sometimes she uses it more to pee in so I change a little more regularly but I can normally get away with completely changing it every 2-3weeks with spot cleans in between ☺️ I find the teabag bedding holds burrows really nicely 😊

Thanks for the reply! I spot clean mine daily, but never heard anyone talk about how often they change it fully, so thanks for that! I might get a bag of the tea bag bedding for the summer then! He loves to burrow, but I want him to have a lighter material for the summer!

No this isn’t everyday, this was also for a past hamster and every one is different. I have a diabetic hamster at the moment who I have to clean out ALOT more regularly. The comment above was talking only about the sand bath not the whole enclosure 😊

I use the pets at home desert sand (the normal colour not the red one and the one with no calcium) :)

Maybe try to have your parents watch proper hamster care videos and tell them why your hamster needs the upgrade. You can also explain to them that it is the size of a 90 gallon tank and is very price efficient .

Does it ever get bugs having sand and soil etc? And how often does the cage get dirty? I have guineapigs and they liturally have a messy dirty cage every two days haha! Can you use fleece as floor for hamsters?

The sand and soil aren't from nature, they are storebought since soil and sand would have bacteria and bugs in it. Guinea pigs are more messy since you have to have multiple in a cage where hamsters are solitary in captivity so cannot be housed together They can't be housed on fleece since they need to be able to actually burrow into their bedding and make nests ^^

Wait, omg, I just realised something, when you show all of the things u have in the first cage, I saw you have a heart shaped slate..... and I have the same thing too! And my hamster loves it so much! I put her tea light candle holder on it as her water dish and I am always finding her grooming on it and also taking treats 😂

@@TianiSimoneX yeah same here 😂 Well, snowy just knows her water is always on the slate, but she does like to sit on there and it is amazing for hot weather, because if you have mini ice packs, then leave the slate on while your doing a little spot clean or a daily check up or whatever, then the slate will have absorbed the coldness and will be lovely and refreshing for your hamster to sit on 💕 I’ve already had to put ice packs on the slate 1 time this year, which is very funny for England 😂 Sadly my room does get quite warm in the summer or just in the warmer days, but I have learned and found ways to keep my room and also snowys cage cool so she doesn’t get heat stroke. I would move her downstairs but we have a dog who is very protective and doesn’t like her 😆 But she has been doing well over the days where the temperature is reached higher degrees 💛

It depends on the setup but because my detolf and pawhut are larger usually between every 2 - 4 weeks I spot clean (apart from waters ect) and then do a half clean every month and a half-2 months

@@arlothepup the coloured peices are fine, they are what holds the powders vitamins and the vermex supplement. When you remove these you unbalance the diet and that is far far worse for the hamster than the colour

No me gusto como limpias su hábitat, ya que el papel tenía excremento, y le hace daño, siempre que se limpia la casita, debes quitar todo, y debes guardar un poco como lo de tu puño para k tenga su olor, lo resguardas tatito, y de ahí tiras todo el sustrato que tiene, y le pones limpio y ahí mismo exparces el k tiene su olor para que reconozca 🥲
