Hey knife doctor I just turn on your new video and I also was stationed on board the USS Saipan LHA2 from 91 to 93. I was part of ships company and worked in the Shipfitter Shop. I was in desert storm and put alot of steel plates on the doors of the hummers that were only canvas. Small world. I’m now in Mayport Fl. Go Navy.

Best Practices Tip: After filling the lighter and before lighting it, wipe it and your hands down thoroughly, so your viewers will do the same. The fumes are pretty likely to set their whole hand ablaze. Doesn't usually hurt, but it could freak someone out who hasn't experienced it before.

Hey Doc, great resto on those zippos. I just want to say you are a blessing and a curse 😅. I'm from Aus and ever since discovering you, you started a knife collecting itch. Unfortunately we don't have the pedigree of knives here and anything online is so damn expensive. Be grateful you have access to some beauties! Thanks for everything you do and God bless. I want to finally say, I may not be able to collect at the degree you do for reasons above, but you have definitely made want to be a better person and appreciate the little things in life. Thanks

Hey Doc! Great work on the lighters and knives! That red is just gorgeous! On another note, I have an old PAL knife that I would like to get repaired by you, if you have time for it? The bolsters are pinch on style and they are all loose. Can you fix them? How do I get the knife to ya to fix them? Don’t worry about cleaning it as I will do that myself. The needed repairs are above my pay grade and I have never done it. Please let me know! Keep them videos coming! Thanks, Mike.
