Just moved after 17 years...the waste of $$$$ made me a bit sick. Only took about 10 bins with me. The rest payed someone to trash.
@lisasommerlad13378 ай бұрын
@@DaRkHoRsE-_-do you mean, chucking everything out, by looking like a minimalist, but contributing to the bigger waste problem, but continuing to buy more, not much later, because you got rid of the extras you already had that you inevitably need a few weeks or months later? I had and have, too much stuff... But i consolidated, putting like with like,and now i "shop" from the boxes and cupboards in my own house, using stuff up, and not buying more. It helped... Always keep your similar stuff together, so you know how much you have, at a glance. For clothes, i keep the stuff i want to wear for the next six months... Weather Wise, and put the rest, including things that suit the current weather, but i dont want to wear this year,bin suitcases, and shop from it later. I can get bored with clothes, but like them later. No point in constant buying... But i am 58 and fashion never suited me, anyway. I only suit certain colours and designs...

You just popped up one day on my KZbin feed. I found you entertaining, loving, and just plain amazing for what you do. Then I found you are Autistic. My daughter is on the spectrum and I have been terrified. As a mom scared of what her life would be like when I'm gone. What her quality of life would look like? You were definitely the confirmation, that she will be JUST FINE! She is already amazing, but now she has no boundaries. Thank You!!❤

I’m a very high functioning but extremely introverted autistic and I went to med school and am now retired, and my parents never helped me financially (they were too poor), and I’m just fine. Your children will thrive! Just give them the space to find themselves (or be alone) and tell them God loves them and they’ll do great!!❤

I know what you mean about seeing your kids work together. My son’s dog got lost and we called in tracking dogs after two weeks of looking for him. They found him in 5 hours. First we had to put up flyers according to the tracker’s protocol. Watching my 30 and 32 year old children dodging traffic and tirelessly putting up these posters gave me fear and pride. I was mostly the map reader and in charge of snacks. Until some drunk was trying to talk to my kids and I sashayed my old body right over and spooked him away.😃 Anyway makes you proud to see your kids working together. Great video. Lucky that I have an alley, the metal men take that, big item pickup every 5 weeks. Trash and recycling every week. We have way too much trash for two people, need to become more mindful. Trying to get rid of everything my kids don’t want to inherit. Thank you.

I have a large external storage cupboard i have been procrastinating about cleaning out, so was feeling "guilty" all through this. It makes me realise how lucky we are in the UK with the facilities to dispose of household waste and goods. We have free community tips open 7 days a week in every borough. (Yes I realise we're a small country). All are really clean and it's organised into sections, electronics,small appliances, large appliances, plastics, metal, clothes etc. Its cathartic to visit. They put good furniture in a container for local charities. We have scrap metal businesses who regularly drive through and collect for free. However, we still have a huge flytipping problem, which is shameful, as there us no excuse to blight a country road or alleyway or roadside with junk.

Nothing makes me happier than having all 3 of my boys together with us. One has moved away and I’ve only seen him twice in the last 12mths. Mind you when he was here a week ago he very unkindly brought a nasty flu with him to share with us. He’d gone to a music festival before coming to us. But I suppose that’s my fault because I taught my kids to share.😂 My autistic son loves order and cleanliness also due to his OCD as well as his autism. It definitely has its plus side being autistic. You are awesome for shining a light on that as well and for letting people know that there is nothing to be ashamed about for being on the spectrum. ❤ from the beautiful Hervey Bay in Queensland Australia 🇦🇺
