I'm only 5 minutes into the video, but SO IMPRESSED that you went out of your way to find a home for your unwanted clothes! Donation to center is better than a landfill, but giving it to others is such a better option! So glad to see that.

Lol, My closet holds an old organ (it no longer works and my brother chose to store it in my closet instead of trying to get it outside), vintage Mac computers, a shelving unit that holds ostomy supplies and wolf collection, clothes with sentimental value, and anything else that needs a home. My clothes are in my dresser (7 of the 9 drawers) and in our "coat closet." There are only 3 of us living here, and the coat closet is big enough for me to have a small section for my dressier clothes, my sister to have a small section for her work shirts and tribute t-shirts (we don't put them in the dryer and her section of the closet is directly across from the dryer, so it is convenient). We still have plenty of room for all coats, jackets, and everything else.

I love this so much! The organization is always satisfying, but it’s also so healthy to see how much clothing you own to be able to create the fashion content you do, both on KZbin and Instagram. Kind of a reality check for me not to compare myself to others when I don’t have the funds or the space to have as large of a closet as you do (or other people on those platforms).

This might not be the case for everyone but I’ve found the elfa system not very durable. Maybe mine were just overloaded but there really wasn’t anything terribly heavy in the selves and drawers but they really started to break down; after a couple years the drawers didn’t slide very well, the metal parts had worn, bracers not holding, etc. really loved this video though! Just wanted to let others know my experience haha!

I actually hate colour coding my clothes XD Tried it once, not a fan. What I do is when I hang up my clean laundry, what I've worn most recently goes to the back of its section. Then whatever ends up at the front is stuff I should either remember to wear or evalute if I don't wear enough and should get rid of

It looks and works so good, I feel like with some organization stuff, it LOOKS good but its not necessarily practical, they just happen to have a lot of space, they organize it by color and have a bunch of new bins, but this seems to be a space that looks good and is organized in a way where its set up for success, you are going to be able to keep up with it STAYING organized

The container store website has a design tool that will give an estimate. I work at the store in my town. That product line and her space design she has looks about 8k. It is all customizable to your budget. The Elfa classic is cheaper and more adjustable because it can be cut to more measurements

Your unused items might be so beloved by others if you donate them. I ADORE my thrift finds & wear them all the time. Trends change so even if you "need" a few items you donate in the future, you can probably find similar items at a thrift or even update your wardrobe in the future. I almost started my wardrobe over 7 years ago and now only buy blues, olives, dark purples, white and black. My closet makes me so happy now.

I just have a question - where do you keep your everyday "bag" items (wallet, keys and other things you usually have in your purse) since you keep your purses and bags in your closet? Your closet looks amazing now! I feel so inspired to finally organise my closet. I’ve been holding it up since we moved in almost two years ago and it’s a bit of a mess. There are a lot I know I need to donate as I’ve never been good at doing that previously. Also, some of the drawers are two full and the extra contents have been combined with other drawers. Not ideal at all. So next week, after I’ve finished the main part of my thesis (only editing the writing and a bit of reorganising will be left 🤞) I’ll finally get around to it!
