A tip from a professionally licensed makeup artist: DO NOT soak the ferrule (metal part of the brush) in water or liquid, and try to avoid getting it wet in general. The glue inside will eventually deteriorate and will cause the hairs to fall out or the handle to come off. If you want to keep your brushes for a long time, please make sure to care for them properly. Also don't press down on your brushes when washing them.

In terms of cleaning out out brushes, it's really easy to put oil onto them and then wash it with a foaming cleanser.I create art a lot and it has saved my brushes !

Decluttering and organising is always fun and relieving💞💞💞💞💞💞 Maybe in order to try to keep things this way , try to work on the habit of putting things back to their place instead of tossing them in the closest place. Staying in an organized and clean space feels much better trust me . Once you get used to it you won't stand the clutter.

My rule of thumb for getting rid of makeup is anything that I haven’t used within the year I instantly throw away. Makeup expires fairly quickly, keeping expired makeup and actually using it could give you a gnarly infection. It’s a good safe practice to get a new mascara every 3 months (if it hasn’t dried out before then) eye products should be replaced sooner than face products. You can stretch the life of a face product to about a year or so. It’s better to replace your eye products and be safe than to risk it and wake up with a nasty swollen infected eye. I’m not attacking you in any way, I am just being informative. Most products do have a date stamped on the packaging somewhere. Eye products will say somewhere in the neighborhood of 3-6m (it will look on the packaging like 3m or 6m) face products will say 12m. That’s the manufacturer recommendation for replacing the items for a safe hygiene practice.
