I am from Indore & 5 years ago it was as dirty as any other city. River was like sewage line. Black & stinking. Today it's the cleanest city, & river condition greatly improved. It's not 100%. But ignoring what has been achieved is also not going to help. Achievements & Neet to do more both are feedback for improvement.

@@rohitsharma5942 There is simple solution which in this video is easily described but problem is with India is that our corrupt leader is too buisy in doing politics of Hindu Muslim and collection of taxes that they don't bother in thinking of these solutions because by doing these solutions they are not gaining anything. We have made big metro cities in India but after knowing every solution still government fails to implement a wealthy enviornment,clean air, pure water lack of sewerage treatment plant dumping of waste in proper way,strict rules so that locals should know garbage here and there. Excellent effort to educate people and providing awareness about precious water life line. I have one small suggestion that these plants are called Wastewater Treatment Plant instead of Water Treatment Plants. Generally Water Treatment terminology is used to clean the water from groundwater, surface water (dams or rivers) and to supply for drinking water purposes. On the other hand, wastewater treatment plants clean the water from domestic and industrial catchments and discharges to water bodies or reused for irrigation of playgrounds etc.

Nice information. Much needed for Indian major river and tributaries. I have done my doctrate on hydropower impacted sections of Bhagirrhi river. The water quality in the lower half of the river is very low (polluted) even the local residence don't prefer to take bath in these sections. This is the condition of Ganga at its headwaters. Now you can imagine what is the condition in downstream Allahabad. Sir, I study the riverine ecosystem and always there for u if needed.

Sir your information is like an eye opener. But instead of waiting for the government to do something public must take the first step and try not to pollute the rivers and natural water bodies. The less we pollute the less efforts to clean them.

I recently went to roorkee and i found that water in ganga canal was quite clean. I think that the concept of cleaning at source is much important. Pollution must be treated at source. The problem is that costly electricity makes the operation of sewage treatment unviable. The government needs to look at it.
@PinNPost

@@gauttamlnt small industries can't compete if the cost of manufacturing goes up. Eventually, they will vanish and the economy will suffer. Lack of resources, scale and finance restrains the small industries to adjust the environmental damage cost and hence, only with govt support this situation can be resolved.

@@utkarshagarwal5103 I agreed with your earlier comment also but I just wanted to add that when you said at source it means we the peoples are the main source hence first of all we have to start it from our end & then only expect from govt.

Strict enforcement of laws and weeding out corruption are the two most important aspects of smooth and efficient functioning of policies and procedures impossible to implement in India. Here the policy makers, the administration and the masses are equally at fault with utter disregard of the environment and the subsequent impact it will have on our ecosystems.
