Hi, I really truly appreciate you sharing with everyone on KZbin how to print T-shirts. This is something that I've been waiting to do for a while but was too afraid to try. I appreciate your willingness to take out the time to teach others that would like to go into this line of business. My quest this year, is to create multiple streams of income to help my family. Thank you so much! Great job on every video.

Do you ever have to heat up plastisol ink when using in winter. It seems a bit thicker when cold

Do you have to clean the screen after each use? How long can you leave the ink on the screen if you plan to make more shirts in a couple of days with the same design and color?
@TshirtChick3 жыл бұрын
It's best to do that, it makes things easier. If using plastisol ink you can leave the ink for days it will not cure unless it reaches the right temp but it will stiffen up the ink and make clean-up a little harder.

I forgot to apply tape to my registration marks before screen printing. Is there a way to remove the marks from the shirt? Thanks

If you have a spot cleaning gun you can spray them out.

Hello great video! i was curious though how you go about disposing the rags with the degrader on them. I’m not sure if it’s okay to throw them in the garbage with the chemicals involved! just looking out for myself and trying to do some research so i don’t get in trouble or hurt the environment

Hey if im doin a print job an i gotta head out for a while..how long can i leave it on the screen?
@TshirtChick5 жыл бұрын
Plastisol ink wil not dry without being heated gut it can cause ghosting in the screen and the ink can get stiff and hard to work with if left out too long. Water based inks start drying out once you put them onto the screen because they are exposed to the air and this caused water to evaporate. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

Great video!! Is that Pro Wash oily? I like the one I use, but I do not like that it is oily.
@TshirtChick7 жыл бұрын
Not sure if I know exactly what you mean but, I don't think it's oily. It doesn't make the screen oily if that's what you mean.
@scoobydoo45917 жыл бұрын
TshirtChick You answered my question. Mine is a bit oily. I am going to try the kind you use; however, the spray is out. I have asthma.

Do you have a video where you show how to clean water based ink when someone wants to use the screen design again? If so, what is the name of the video.

Appreciate the videos you do! My question is, after the screens are cleaned off with press wash, are they ready to be reused for prints again or would I need to take off the emulsion and redue the whole process again? I hope that makes sense
@TshirtChick2 жыл бұрын
If you plan to use the same print again you can just clean the ink off and store it until you need it again. If you are done with that image and don't plan to use it again you should reclaim the screen and do whole process again to print a new image.

Have you ever had an issue on a 305 mesh screen where the emulsion has locked into the screen. If so, how do you prevent
@TshirtChick7 жыл бұрын
No, I haven't had any issues with them. It could be possible that you over exposed or the screen was exposed before you attempted to burn it but I don't really have enough info to attempt troubleshooting.

I love your videos and have learned so much! I am just getting started and only have a one color press. I have someone who wants me to print blue on a black shirt. It's 10 shirts and I'm so lost. What type and brand ink do you recommend? From what I can tell high opacity blue will be best because I don't think I can do a white underbase and line it up right. What brand do you recommend and where would I get it? Thank you SOOO much!!!
@TshirtChick7 жыл бұрын
The high opaque inks should work for you but the blue may not show up that well on black unless it's a lighter shade of blue like Carolina I don't think royal or any darker color would show up that well. I use Union ink and I buy my inf from McBee Supply out of Houston TX because they have 1 day shipping to me. If you are not close to TX I would try to find a place near your city so you get your products quicker. Hope this Helps. Thank you for watching!

Question I let my screen sit for a few day and it’s been so hard to clean it would you recommend this product?
@TshirtChick3 жыл бұрын
Plastisol ink can be tuff to clean off unless you have the right products. I like to use screen opener to clean my screens because I usually let them sit longer than I should. I think it's a lot easier to clean them right after printing. If you are using water based inks letting the screens sit will cause the ink to dry in the screens which could damage the screens and cause them to be unuseable.
