Maybe keep the old kitchen sink and use it as a potting bench outside for your plants when you start on the garden? You can make a potting bench easily and cheaply (designs on KZbin). Nice for potting up indoor plants too. 🌱

Yes I bought a similar sink (and fixture) from Amazon with the grate… it is supposed to keep your sink from getting scratched. Mine had some silicone coating that peeled off within a year and then the grate rusted where the silicone peeled. So I took it out and my sink is scratched but that grate was awful. Maybe you got a nicer one that I did. But I thought it was quite nice at the time.

Hello from Denmark. Mona here Ooohh the new sink is really nice. Congratulations . I hang up some decorations in my windows today . And slowly my home os getting that Christmas feeling. 🎄 I will bake some Danish Christmas cookies and they taste gingerbread or gingersnaps . I use most money on things in our home. My husband know we need to renew a lot in our home so he is ok with it. We are going to a Christmas party tomorrow . And we have Danish Christmas lunch. With snaps I don't like the snaps it is to strong. I love that we have a dishwasher. It make cleaning easier. I do my laundry tomorrow before party. Electricity is cheaper tomorrow

This video helped me jump right up make my bed do dishes vacuum dust and start wash. I even gave my two dogs a bath so that was great motivation. I love your desk in the kitchen. I am so jealous you have that spot. I would stage it as a pretty desk and then once it was staged I’d never let it be a clutter hot spot. I use the staging as a little trick or else my family puts stuff everywhere. I found your floor cleaning portion quite satisfying in this video today. I laughed when you said you felt like you were skiing around. I am wondering if you will be painting your cabinets anytime soon. Your old kitchen looked so amazing and it was such a transformation when you did it. I also loved your fireplace transformation. I have been curious to see your dining room lately. You don’t show it. Is that room decorated as a dining room or are you using it like a storage room right now?
@fromjeniawithlove25062 жыл бұрын
Hi Trish! I am glad you got a lot done after watching the video, that is the best complimen!. Thanks for letting me know of the satisfying parts, I love learning what people like and not so much!! I love the desk too, and when I work at it, I just automatically clear up the clutter , otherwise I can't concentrate. Maybe I can make it my main spot and would be my trick to keep it clean..😊 I will paint the kitchen, I even almost know the color! But it is a big kitchen, I need to schedule the time for that project. The fireplace was a game changer for that living room - thank you! I do not show the dining room because I am embarrassed as it is full of miscellanious things and a couple of boxes. . I am clearing the stuff and we are debating with husband on what we would like to put there once its clean. Yes, I guess you can call it storage for now lol! I hope your days is going well, I will talk to you soon.
@trishb68952 жыл бұрын
@@fromjeniawithlove2506 I remember in your old house that your dining room furniture was pretty. Don’t forget you have a basement now for temporary storage so try to make your new home like a staged home. These are the tricks I use to keep things pretty. It also tells my husband and children only these items for this area belong here. If I leave a space clear or even out a few odd items down they take it as an invitiation to drop everything there. I say does this item belong in a dining room. Does this look the way I would like it to look. Sometimes little areas accumulate clutter but I try to stay on top of it right away. Once things start to land in one spot quickly many things land there. You may even use the room more once you get the storage items out. You may like to sit in there and enjoy tea as it’s a previously unused room. Do you still have your table chairs and shelves? I am curious why you are trying to decide what it should be. And not use it for a dining room. What are your ideas. Where is your dining room furniture? I love your videos and your new home is very nice. When I moved into our home at first it took a little time to settle in but I did my best to set up each room with a set purpose in mind because I know that I could easy allow clutter to creep in if I didn’t make rules from the beginning. I also never allow anything on my dining table except a centerpiece when there is no one sitting there or working at the table on something. When done everything gets put away right away. It’s been a game changer. Before this we always had to move all kinds of things to be able to eat meals. But also having it clear is pleasing to the eye. I had suspected this was happening in your dining room with it becoming a storage area so that’s why I thought I would mention it to you. Do you plan to entertain any guests for the holidays?

Hi, just a comment don't hate me , but now that bring out the dishwasher conversation, I think personally that we waist same amount of water if wash dishes by hand or dishwasher, because we have to rinse the dishes before putting it in the dishwasher so you use water Plus the dishwasher water, running for 40 min,, and I find out that hand washing dishes is fast and better clean and waist same water I guess, I grew up with no dishwasher and don't even want one just by seeing people rinsed dishes before then load it then wait 40 minutes then put it away it so long , by hand is better clean you can dry dishes right away and put them away and done 👍 less than 10 minutes you have a clean dishes and clean surfaces and dishes where belong, that just me but I know people that think the opposite,but this is just my opinion nothing against dishwasher lovers.
