Mr.Leeland and the horse gentlers bring horse handling wisdom gathered over generations. They come from a culture that cherishes ancestors and elders, and respects nature as a life force. I am learning so much from their work and greatly appreciate how they are healing the horses' mental state. Thank you for having them at HPHS. ❤❤

How wonderful. One must listen, and not expect another to speak the same. I sat up when the gentleman spoke. Ah, wisdom. A quiet spirit. Rare. I was blessed listening to him explain Sage. I must listen once again to this elder. He himself is a sage. This is rare in our rushed out-of-time world. We must slow down. Take time to observe. Notice things, both big and small. Speak into the silence, Mr Leland. The voices of the unheard hear you.

Dear Leland, Shane, and Amber Watching the great spirits working through your hands with these amazing horses is awesome to witness. I have felt these connections through watching. When I am with my horses I can feel their spirits touch mine. It brings me such peace and fills my heart with joy! Thank you for the privilege of witnessing this great magic. Mr. Leeland ignore any naysayers, you have generations behind you. You heal and are healed by the energies. It's heartening to watch Sage get to experience what's beyond the trauma. ❤

funny that in your language the word is "naysayers" although you don't say "nay" but "no". In German it is easier, the "Neinsager" (pretty surely the origin of your word) says "nein".

Exactly. I've seen plenty of mares in my lifetime be masculine and I agree with him. The best example online of a mare being a stallion is on Friesian Horses. The beautiful famous Uniek acted stallion especially in season. The only time I saw her be feminine was when she had a foal at foot and nursing. She was a completely different horse with her foal. I can see what Leland means about Sage. When I first saw her I thought she was a gelding (the episode before Leland arrived) but she was called she. Sage is a special horse, very special... personally I wish I lived in the US... I would certainly ask to adopt her. She is so attentive and willingly and very brave even though she's been hurt. You can see it.

Mr. Leland is awesome. Never mind the keyboard warriors, many of them likely never even worked with a horse before. The difference in Sage is incredible, she is clearly more comfortable with herself now, more at peace. Mr. Leland listened to this horse and allowed her to tell him what she needed. Great job!

Mr Leeland is so tuned into each horse. He responds to the individual. Beautiful to watch. No one can hear the silent language spoken between the horse and handler/trainer. They speak to us in so many silent ways. Twitch of an ear, skin, tail. The expression in the eye(s). Mr Leeland is aware of each and every one and responds accordingly. Aho Mr Leeland.

I am really loving the daily videos. Watching the horse gentlers is so wonderful. I love seeing Sage reset her system and be able to become and remain in a calm state. It's also wonderful hearing Mr. Leeland ( I hope that's spelt correctly) talk about horse's energy. I feel like so many people just write these types of horse's off as bad or crazy. There's always a reason and as Stewards it is our job to figure it out and help them understand and heal. Sage was a difficult case and It is so interesting how he explains her energy being more masculine than feminine. So glad he was able to help her! This new gentleling program is a great addition and I'm sure it is going to give the horses more opportunities to live happy lives. Also, it was so great to see Cory again! He is definitely missed but glad he's doing good! ❤

Leland has done a great job of sorting out the mares attitude. Reading a horse and how they act and react puts the handler in tune with how to approach ....tantamount to taming each and every horse! Taming comes before training........at least that is how I see it😊 The Navajo horse handlers are really doing a great job!

Hi Cory 👋🏼 Miss you bud! Mr. Leland please don’t worry about what social media says 🙏 Most of its people aren’t equipped to even understand the generations of knowledge you hold in many things much less horses. The work that you and the Navaho Nation’s gentling team have done with these horses in short time you have been there is incredible! Actions speak so much louder than ignorant words from someone who probably has never touched a horse. You owe none of us an explanation Sir 🫶🏼 Thank you for your love for horses and all the brilliant work you and your team are doing!

Watching Mr. Leland, Shane, and Amber work with the horses is amazing. They exude calm and the horses pick up on that. I couldn't believe it when Shane hopped up on Sage. She seemed perfectly fine with it. If somebody had tried that a week or two ago, they'd have been tossed off instantly. She is going to make somebody an amazing horse. What Mr. Leland said makes sense. He had to start working with Sage in the mindset she was in at the time. It's not just the horse learning. It's both of them. It's like they both get to a place of comfort and peace with themselves and after that pretty much anything is possible. Sage seems like a content attentive horse at this point.

Yes indeed Leland is wise and yes he works within the old ways of the Navajo, we all could learn many things from them. I have always enjoyed watching the Navajo work with horses, I watch a channel that sometimes rescues feral horses off the res, and sometimes just goes to auction to look on purpose for a horse that really NEEDS rescue, he always has his Navajo farrier come to do hoofs and it is amazing how this wise farrier first makes a "connection" to the horses and goes from there very much like Leland is and does. Wild one minute, getting all four hoofs done the next.....it is no coincidence, these people have something special that connects with animals like I have never seen before.

Not everyone has the ability to read them and connect with them, understanding that the teaching and healing process is two ways. To hear and understand what they tell us first is invaluable, and, to be humble and appreciative of the teaching and learning they provide us in return is also a gift of immeasurable value. With them, you are teaching us all.

Poor Keith will need a full body massage especially with the neck and shoulders after this job spraying the walls. ❤ I love his interaction with with feeding and watering the horses as well, as he takes it all in his stride. Watching the horses being brought on by the Gentlers is beautiful and hearing the explanations on Sage's attitude at defending herself in a stallion way as a learned survival from her sire is in true wild behaviour. I recently watched i. n Canada where a dam passed away from predator attack and the stallion took over raising the filly,. She had to learn to drink water and eat grass at this very early age to survive and she's doing well months later. We have no notes to refer back to on these horses wild or domestic zso it is all about what these precious animals can try to communicate to we humans. ❤ The new buildings are coming along well. Thank you and God bless each and every one of you who do so much at Horse Plus.

I just love Shane, his energy is just palpable, what a beautiful happy soul he is. I think that’s why he’s so good with the traumatised horses, they feel his energy and it envelopes them. What a beautiful job you’ve done with Sage and the others. Amber is beautiful too, such a gentle soul. I love the program you have going here, the wisdom behind native gentling is just beautiful. ❤ I like mr Leland too.

I agree very pleasant voices and nice narration. Macey and Haleigh, the twins. Hope I spelled the names correctly. There are 2 Haleys at HP, now - one the trainer and the other the videographer.

Respect to Mr. Leland for his recognizing his honest mistake. Super Impressive. When he spoke to Helicopter Roundups and Diesel trucks,-- It Completely resonated with me as my rescue OTTB (from a Kill-Pen In Louisiana) charged a fence So Hard after hearing an Amish Tractor. . . That he ripped his throat open and exposed his jugular vein. Surgery happened in the field. He is a Lovely, Relaxed Big Baby now. At 16’3, he looks Down to see where my feet are before he Daintily turns anywhere. I Adore him. Love, Compassion, and our Best attempts at real Understanding,- heal so much. Caring for Him, healed Me also. . . We were very much in it together. PTSD?!? Yep 😊❤🤕
