Thanks for making this! Really good tip at the end for reusing the Laquer Thinner, had no idea you could do that. Which is funny because thats the exact same way you reuse IPA for Resin 3d Printing. Leave the IPA outside, UV cures the resin which falls to the bottom, then you can strain the cleaned IPA back into a container.

For sure, the solids don’t really harden, but if you are careful, you can pour it out without stirring it up too much. Saves a few dollars at the end of the day.

I bought that exact same gun after watching your videos. Would it help to polish that needle before you use it, or after cleaning the gun, like I do on a regular airbrush? Thanks!

I never have on an automotive spray gun. I think because it’s not as “fine” as an airbrush needle, you probably don’t need to. It’s putting out a ton more fluid, and I really feel it’s more about air flow and atomization . But as long as you know how to do it properly, it couldn’t hurt.

I'm interested in spraying the 2k. Would the clean up process on the spray gun be the same?

Yes, exactly the same. The only thing is if you were using water based paint, you don’t need solvent. Use whatever the manufacturer recommends for cleanup.
