I soak them in bleach so they’re ready for next time and I’m not grossed out by them being used in different areas of the house. That being said, I don’t use tools around the toilet that aren’t from the dollar tree/going to be thrown away.
@Karanthealsomeman19 күн бұрын
I usually put mine in a hot bowl of water with a small amount of white vinegar in them. The I ring the water out of the rags and throw them in the washer and dryer. As for the mops and brushes, spray them with disinfectant spray and let them air dry somewhere.

Brandon, thanks so much for all the good tips. Today, I bought many of the products you recommend, including a drill brush and the Clean Slate upholstery cleaner. I made and used your vinegar/water/soap cleaner, which did an exceptional job of cleaning my bathroom. You've definitely helped me up my cleaning game. Tomorrow, I tackle the sofas. Your videos and advice are much appreciated.

I thoroughly enjoy your cleaning videos but there is not enough money in the world to make me use a microfiber cloth on my own toilet, let alone a commercial one, then put it in a washing machine to contaminate it & the other cloths. There are two places in my house where I only use disinfecting disposable wipes: the toilet & any surface in my kitchen where raw eggs or chicken have touched. I just cannot do it any other way. I love so many of your tips, esp the one about using a ph balanced cleaner for wood floors. I so appreciate that as I was always told vinegar cleaners worked best on them.

Hi!! Thanks so much this is so helpful. 1) what product did you use in the toilet 2) how do you clean the brush you used in the toilet and where do you store it? 3) how do you make the metal shiny with diy products in the bathroom or do I need to buy a stainless steel cleaner? 4) do you use washable dusters or only throw away ones? I can’t decide which to get for my apartment. Thank you!!!

Our 140-ish year old house has porcelain-coated cast iron bathtubs which have seen better days. They seem to grip soap scum (and everything else) with an incredible tenacity. I think we need to try a drill brush! I can't find Bar Keeper's cream cleanser locally -- would another brand work as well, or should I order BK's online? (Love your videos! I love what you did clean but the bathroom is only half done. Did not see the ceiling get dusted, nor did the ceiling fan get cleaned out. Walls did not get wiped down. Bathroom mirror wasn’t cleaned or at least wasn’t shown to be cleaned. Baseboards were not wiped down. Light fixture was not wiped down and did not have dust removed from it. Did this bathroom have any towel racks? I didn’t see any get cleaned. What about the top of the door going into the bathroom that place often gathers quite a bit of dust.
