I hope the person who's bathroom this is knows that most trauma can take a minimum of 2 years to overcome mentally. I hope they get treatment for the alcohol because many people think they can do it on their own, but at a certain level, it's impossible. You HAVE to be detoxed medically! Also, please search nutritional deficiencies after alcohol use. You absolutely have to supplement! Bless you for taking the first step! ❤

No you don't need medical detoxing. Who told you that? I've been sober for 35 years this June. Yeah, I went to crap ton of meetings in the first few years. I worked the steps, I got transpersonal counseling, including EMDR, but I never had medical detox. Do some people need that? Absolutely. I know what the DTs are. I know what depression so bad that I stuck a shotgun in my mouth feels like. I don't disagree with you on the nutrition aspect, though I will say that most supplements are crap. Food is medicine. I will say this: if I'd have known I was gonna live this long (67+ years), I might have taken better care of myself.

I will add my gratitude to the gentleman's for whom you cleaned that bathroom. It makes my heart sad to see these images of how people live, although it can't really be living. It's only existing and trying to make it through another day. I struggle with depression too and some days I simply can't find the energy to do much. But thankfully I do manage to keep my home in a good condition because I have found it helps my emotional state. Barbie: That was amazing. I think you are probably the world's best cleaner. That mold is the direct result of no ventilation. It's going to grow back. It doesn't appear to have a window but it should have an exhaust fan. The fan should be checked to make sure it's working properly.
